He lost the love of his life all thanks to Ishwari.. he lost precious 6 years of his daughters life.. again it was Ishwari's doing. Did he learn anything from those loses? NOPE. He is still feeding his mom's ego. Never has guts to tell her when she is wrong.

I don't sympathize with Dev either. I can NEVER sympathize with a man who doesn't know how to treat a woman respectfully.
That's exactly my question. Why does he feed his mother's ego? What is the cause behind such blind devotion that it makes you forget your own pain?

As you very rightly mentioned, Doctor. How will a person who doesn't dare to stand up for himself will stand up for his love of his daughter?

He has to stand up for himself first. A slave has no free will or individual rights. How will he protect anyone else's free will or rights?

That's why Sonakshi was worried. That's what worried Sonakshi seven years back.

Dev on his own is harmless. But Dev combined with Ishwari is dangerous. Because then he is puppet without will, without thoughts of consequences and without a conscience.

This is so true, Tia! He himself dug his grave and he's digging it deeper every passing day. Will the blindfold ever come off? I'm so done with watching Ishwari's constipated expressions and Dev pleasing her with his lies, promises and what not. First of all, I think this a potential track where they can show why Dev is so obsessively devoted to his mother and let me make it clear here, "I love mom because I lost my father" is not a valid excuse for such obsession. There has to be a deep rooted cause, something which he did or saw that made him pledge to obey his mother forever. Anyway, that's never happening.
But will the slave ever question the master? I think shit has hit the fan now, kuch toh kare Dev!

Thanks for commenting straight from Mexico! Hope you're having fun 😃

I agree that a person who cannot put oneself first(at least at times) can never ever take a stand for anyone else.A person who is not happy within can never keep anyone else happy

Dev's biggest problem in his personal relationships was his fundamental nature of "please all hurt none".So he never took a stand for anything.

His second problem which compounded the first problem was his tendency to pay attention only to that person(s) who complained and cried. The squeaky wheel always gets the grease when Dev is the mechanic. So Ishwari's wheels were always oiled and Sona's wheels(which never squeaked) got nothing.

Though he has changed his please all nature to an extent,he still runs to his mom when her wheels squeak.I am not surprised that these fundamental flaws have not been fixed.Human beings rarely change their basic/fundamental nature. If they do,it changes very slowly over a period of 20-30 years with slow and steady influence of another person.Since Dev continues to be influenced only by his mom,I don't see him changing big time.If Soha starts influencing him,he may change...

And even then,a part of him will always continue to react this way towards Ishwari...Ishwari is after all his mother and the only parent he knows and remembers. He will always have an ultra soft corner for her and this nature of putting her before him will never fully disappear.

PS:It is a different point that Ishwari is extremely selfish and can never ever see beyond her pains and sacrifices and tears.I have rarely seen such a self centred mother

Exactly! He listens to people who cry foul, not the ones who make sense. That's the reason he ignored insults hauled on Sonakshi because he has a problem of selective understanding. If Sona would have cried and told him that she was hurt because of Mami, he'd have yelled at Mami but what's the point of a husband like that?

About the changing, I understand your point and it stands true in real life but this is a show, it can't go on forever. They could have at least toned down the blind worship after the leap, they could've made Dev introspect, make him accept his faults but no, we're still at square one. The concept of the leap is lost on me.

Dev thinking about others happiness OK I get it but that one person who destroyed his life again and again. Don't kick her out but don't care about her either. Ishwari is a kind of mom I would not even wish for my enemy but if ishwari is treated as goddess then its dev's and dixit family's fault. Ideally dev should have treated ishwari to a psychologist

I do not feel bad for Dev. If he can't talk to his mother, then he can cry all his life because his mother will neither be happy nor be satisfied. I've never seen Ishwari happy after Dev-Sona confessed so making her happy is quite a task.
@Bold- That's what I thought would happen after the leap. At least put her off the pedestal.

Thank you so much for making this post... 😊 You have penned down each and everything perfectly... While watching Mrs. Ishwari Dixit i always feel how can a person be all about I Me and Myself all the life... I mean, her world revolve around her wishes, her needs and her dreams. She has kept her son burdened for 35 years now... He is always made to think about her wishes and dreams first and never have she ever thought about his dreams... His wishes, which were always simple. He always wanted simple things in life... He wanted to stay happy with his wife... Which never happened and it has been discussed a lot... So i am not gonna elaborate it here.

Today all he wants is to spend time with his daughter... To know about her... To become a part of her life... He just want to hear the word "Papa" from her. Is it such a big thing to ask for? But what have you done... You once again made him think about only your dreams... That are incomplete... Just because Suhana didn't let you feed her the food. Mrs. Dixit... We have seen how you have suffocated Dev all these years... We don't want Suhana to go through this. And neither will Dev ever want her to become as burdened as he is... Sonakshi has made her daughter independent and self sufficient to make her own decisions. And that's the reason you could meet Suhana today... It was Suhana's wish to meet you. Be thankful to Sona for giving Soha such values.

Be thankful to her that after what all you have done to her, she is still letting Soha to meet you. And i am here talking about you particularly... You went threatening to Sona telling her if you could do what you have done for your son she cannot even think to what extent you can go for your grand daughter... Lady... You need to be really thankful to Sona even after all this she is letting Soha meet you all. Anyways... How can we expect anything from such a selfish woman who have never ever thought about her own son.

And the only thing i don't agree upon is... I still want DevAkshi to reunite... But this time they should rise stronger... And i think this is gonna happen... Dev needs to adapt a lot of things before this happens. Nothing will be able to break them this time around and i am looking forward to the process which will lead to their reunion.😊

Exactly! IShwari's interference is abnormal and Dev needs to understand that. Now Ishwari wants to raise Suhana as a Dixit. Who the hell is she to raise her? Dev was her son, she raised him however she deemed fit but this is Sona and Dev's daughter and the parents will decide how to raise their kid, not the grandparent. Who gives Ishwari the authority to moral police every kid who has the potential to be Dev Dixit? Dev Dixit himself. And he needs to stop her!

Completely agree with you on this. Who's she to decide, how Soha should be raised. He parents are there to do that. We have seen how Dev lost her childhood due to their financial condition and circumstances, but what she did when her son earned everything for the family. She still spoiled his life. And after doing all this she really thinks she can raise Soha better than Sona? Such a self righteous woman.
