Y can't dev do background check of his going to be sis husband?????????y shona has to do jaasosi 😕...i felt so creepy when they showed shona doing chat in sons using fake id????like cvs seriously🥱

By showing Sonakshi as the one initiating the investigation and finding out the truth of Ayan CVs again proved that they are in favour of highlighting female lead. Dev who is used to employing private detectives is made to look dumb in front of Sonakshi the great . He has to say well done Miss Bose" Just enough. Hate the CVs for the injustice done to Shaheer/ Dev.

Or could b that they don't want him to do it as it would mean going against his mother

Point is that sona have to be in problem.. first the female lead .. In this case Dev should have started investigation

Sona started the investigation since no one believed her..but now that Dev believes her view...he shud be the one steerheading this investigation as he has lot of resources to get it done. Also Sona shud tell Dev abt what Elena told her that Khushi studies in her college n Ayan visits her often..

I kinda have different POV- Dev is blind when it comes to decisions made by his mother (Rhea's rishta) unless given any insight by Sona. When it required his action for Ishwari'a health, he went all out and stretched above and beyond.

And also, I don't think it's a bad idea to put the female lead on a pedestal. In a country like ours where the men are always deemed right by a patriarchal society, it's refreshing to view a woman who is independent, educated but still cares about every minor detail of her husband's (and now her) family. She can be silly by paying attention to the wrong things but she means well :)
