Does Karan really love her??

Does Karan really love Lakshmi?? Or is he just feeling sorry for her and ashamed of himself because of what he has done....

He never loved Lakshmi before... He was always scheming against her and her family... he tried his best to humiliate her... He might be repenting all that now... But there is no reason for "LOVE" to suddenly pop up from nowhere when it was never there in the first place....

Why did he look totally shattered when Lakshmi threw the mangalsutra at him?? Was he really devastated at her breaking off their marriage or he was simply sad that she hadnt forgiven him..?? Their marriage wasnt really a marriage tht its breaking would affect Karan so badly......

So I dont get his behavior...

Like Rukhaya said, I really do think that Karan loves her a lot, and she him. Maybe that's why Lakshmi's hurt and anger has been so intense.

It's weird how their love came about, but I guess if you spend so much time with a person and take them into your world, and are compatible (as both are in equally odd ways), then it's not so hard to believe.

MORE importantly, I think they went through some things that went beyond the "mission" of Karan's plan: e.g. when he got beat up by Rasili bhai's goons, when she said she loved him (take a look at that video from end of August--that's no act on his face). Lakshmi also for the most part slept in the same room as him, took good care of his mom, and was as strong as he was.
I think these things made them more attached, without their fully knowing it. Does that make sense???

yea, i think so too that Karan truly loves her. The only prob was that his hate for the Garodias was more than his love for Laxmi. After he realised what a grave mistake he's done, and esp destroying the family of the girl he loved, but was so overpowered by the revenge to show it to her, he feels guilty and tht's why he is prepared to do anything to correct all the wrong he has done to her. But I was certain he always loved her, after the epi when he was pretending to her that he was cheating on her, but actually didn't. If he didn't love her then there was nothing stopping him to after other women.

Of course he loves her he just didnt realise like a idiot until he was going to lose her and was to blind by revenge before..plus like someone said some things he did not have to 😊 but he did anyways

I think he does love her too but just because he did not sleep with the other woman does not prove that he really loves her..I mean he may not sleep with the other woman because he may not feel anything for the "other woman" , not necessarily because he loves Lakshmi. He may just refrain from sleeping with that woman because he simply does not want to take advantage of a relationship - I think by showing that he does not sleep with the other woman just for the sake of doing so basically shows he respects women in general and does not take advantage of situations though he could have.

But yes, I do believe he has developed a love for her.

you have a point about how you said "he was scheming the whole thing" .. soo how could he actually love her then ?? cause he probably didnt .. and how can he love her now ?? but the gp00 has a point also .. and i was thinking .. kind of how some people get arranged marriages.. most dont love each other... but slowly .. the fact that theyve been living together.. they start to love each other and what not ..

karan has seen what lakshmi did for the family.. when she got married.. she wanted to cook for everyone and take care of karan's mom .. its just that no one really accepted it .. karan knew she was good at heart.. he just wanted his revenge.. and after regretting it soo much .. he knows how much she loves him.. and he wants to give her the love that was given in the beginning ... ahhhhh.... im like rambling on .. hopefully this made sense.. it just came out of my head .. 😛
