dev's proud smile of making the rite choice of life partner

today's epi (7th july) is just one of the many more epis that is making me feel that i am watching a classic which will remain as a landmark serial in the history of indian television...this show is best known for its nuances and today's epi gvs me the feeling the CVs r really gving their 300 percent to this show...

loved ishwari's reaction on seeing the dupatta on sona...i agree it was not rite to put bride's dupatta on someone else even if that someone is own sister and sona is still just a friend...but i loved the contrast they showed btwn dev and ishwari's expressions...while ishwari's shock came to the fore at the same time dev's pleasure of seeing his wud be bride in dupatta...only shows how much sona affects dev...

today was not the first time dev calls up sona wen he needs advice...even before their courtship began he used to call her even at midnite just to get permission to hv sleeping pills...but this time ishwari caught him...ishwari still doesnt want to believe that dev will hide from her any important thing of his life but she is quite sure that dev lied wen he said he is talking to a frnd in trouble..

.i still refuse to blame dev...for one ishwari was gving such solemn look noone wud hv the guts to say that he is talking to his gf...secondly i hardly think in real life any person who falls in love announces that to his or her parents before a few days of courtship...and dev maybe very close to ishwari but their's is not a totally informal and best buddy type relationship that sona has with her parents...dev is not hiding for the sake of hiding but he knows complexities will arise once ishwari will know and i dont blame him for postponing such troubles to enjoy the feeling of falling in love for a few more days...

today's epi pointed to us another very important thing...for dev his neha's happiness is more than anything to him and he cant see her crestfallen face on her wedding day...and the simple solution is to buy her the lehenga that she wants...however ishwari's refusal to let that hapen makes dev fall in dilemma...his eternal tendency to bring immediate solution to problems hinders him from seeing the long term picture...sona rightly said he shud first think whether his decision is selfish...wen dev said ye lehenga mein pehenna wala hoon kya only showed he did not understand wat sona meant by saying selfish...for dev the need to see neha smiling and happy is of course a selfish cause considering that ranbir is neha's choice and so ranbir's happiness shud equally matter to him...

i also felt ishwari lecturing neha about rasam and all is too late...wen neha had first announced that she loves ranbir that time only ishwari shud hv adviced her that marrying ranbir will mean that she wud hv to sacrifice the luxuries of life...i know wen someone is in love parental advice goes in vain but ishwari as a mother shud hv done that and then it wud hv been neha's final decision...so today it is not surprising that neha did not listen to ishwari but understood the same thing wen sona explained so nicely to her...

i loved the trust that dev had on sona that she cud convince neha where ishwari failed...deep down he knows that his mom has never been a friend to her daughters and thatz y even though sona was hesitating since she is not close to neha dev still insisted...somewhere he wants sona to strike that friendship wala bond with his sisters...

and finally i cant say enuf about dev's smile knowing that mission has been accomplished...there was a pride in his smile as he felt that sona has been his right choice as life partner...one decision in his life that he has taken widout consulting his mom...superb episode...

as last note i want to say that dev cud not say anything wen ishwari asked him whether he doubted her decision...here in dev's perspective ishwari is not being right since neha will not be happy by the decision and for him neha's smile means a lot...however dev cud not protest and this we will be seeing later on in the case of sona...he will know that his mom is wrong but still he will choose to distance himself from sona...i dont mean that today ishwari was wrong wen she insisted that neha wears ranbir's dupatta but wat i mean is that in dev's perspective she is not rite yet he remained silent the same thing that he will do wen ishwari will actually be wrong wen dealing with devakshi relationship...
