@Reemz sorry had to jump in between these interesting conversations.
You talked about having watched so many shows and high tolerance levels. Well same goes here though in the past few years I have hardly watched 1 or 2.So the expectations are quite low and considering it's an SP show who are notorious in destroying characters without a second thought, I'm quite cautious while watching JNDSD. But still I would say that Atharva's character has not been tampered much. Yes we expect him to stand in the way of any insults coming towards his mom but then his mom herself asked him to exercise restraint. Yes they should have shown him upset n frustrated after the party showdown. But guess at the moment his priority is saving Guddi from Chintu. So he kind of let go of it. Which obviously is quite baffling for the viewer.Coming to Vividha. The papa's girl that she is, it will take something really huge for her to break the shackles and let go completely. Subconsciously the love is there but as Atharva puts it Dimaag saath nahi de raha. But as you said she needs to at least apologise to Sujata if not Atharva. Though woh din bhi jaldi aayega when she breaks down in front of him too. I just saw the new promo and it hints at Vividha getting to know certain realities. But it's SP so we have to be really patient here. Though Atharva comes as a breath of fresh air among the typical muted beta versions of SP male leads.
Yeh I had gone off Star Plus for a while now but this show brought me back. It's very freshly told even if the concept is not so new.
Most of us had expected both characters to act in a certain way & guess that's why certain acts of both disappointed fans but when I saw the episode in its entirety, it didn't seem so bad at all. Like you said, Atharv's priority was Guddi's safety and I think that just shows the kind of guy Atharv is. He's puts women on a high pedestal and it's such a refreshing change from the usual angry young men who like to push & shove for no reason.
P.S. please butt in whenever you want :)
