Five years it's been, hard to imagine
Rabba vey in the hearts, not yet halting
Ringtones still play the IPK song
Any changes in these not really wanting

We are still watching for various reasons
Like looking for answers for some curious questions
When did Arnav wear a particular black shade?
In which coloured saree did Khushi look great?

Mami's hello hi bye bye, crosses seven seas
Bua's Nandkissore is now part of our speech
Nani and Anjali still amuse us with their thali
And NK's broken Hindi produces a laughter volley

Arnav and Khushi loom large over our senses
Their tiffs and dhak dhaks continue to drench us
This love is not gonna cease, so strong is its power
So bring in the bhang, this jashn will go on forever

Till half a decade before did "Jalebi" matter to us ? Or did we believe so much in Devi Maiyaa ?

A love story that shall never be forgotten,

A special place in our hearts over the years it has gotten ,

We shall eat jalebi and chant Devi Maiyaa,

Remembering Khushi and her pyaare lad Saiyaan ,

The show won our hearts not only fame

And shall always rule our heart with ArShi's name

Five years before Devi Maiyaa was sleeping peacefully until a princess ran away from her home and drove through the streets ,wearing a green lehenga with snickers in an old snooty . Neither the princess nor we viewers knew where her prince was , it was only her Devi Maiyaa who was playing the games of destiny when a young rich lad flew over her in a helicopter .

Till the end of day Devi Maiyaa played her game , the rich arrogant Raizada had come across the soft spoken yet stubborn Kumari Gupta and their lives intertwined in a such a way that left us breathless , even till today .

"What the ... Khushi ! "

"Arnav ji ! "

A love story so simple yet so unique. They didn't have the Pheli Nazar Wala Pyaar or a Fairytale beginning but the story that unfolded turned amazing than any other story . Did her love for her goat matter to him so much or did his past girlfriends annoyed her a lot ? Well they both denied but as time passed by they realised their love that was so deep that it left their hearts bounded for a relation made in the heaven .

After 398 episodes the show ended and we thought we would survive. Living and cherishing IPKKND memories . Repeating the episodes and relieving the one and half year journey .

"Par Picture toh Abhi Baki Hai Mere Dost"

And one fine day the creative's decided to bring back IPKKND back into our screen maybe not the television screen but small screens of our PC , mobiles , iPads and tabs through hotstar . And we fans got a treat ,celebrating five years of ArShi .

Once again we relished ArShi k nok jhok. Once again we heard "Damn it" . Once again our screen savoured "Hello , hi , bye bye " and for the last time we saw our Jalebi Queen lash out on her Laad Governor .

The ArShi Ek Jashan was a celebration for all IPKKND fans as we hold our breath again after long years of await while our hearts danced in the tunes of Rabba Ve ! This time the dupatta didn't fly but our hearts did and only IPKKND shipping God knows when the hearts will creep back to our chest and start thumping again which has stopped after "I love you damn it ! "We shall wait till that day .

And we shall always pray to Devi Maiyaa,

"Long live ArShi and SaRun "

And ever other cast that made IPKKND so special and what it is today .

Forever in our hearts shall we cherish

All the moments of Rabba Ve will be relished !

And we will always spread ArShi love and give

Pray to god that IPKKND shall long live!

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ? is a complicated love story, defining two different idelogies.

Arnav Singh Raizada who is a suave, arrogant and rude rich business tycoon comes across a simple traditional and a chirpy Khushi Kumari Gupta.

Destiny makes them meet in such a way that they both can't stand each other's presence from the day they had met at Sheeshmahal in Lucknow where Arnav came for a deal to get back his mansion for his Di, Anjali Shyam Manohar Jha and Khushi who came to meet her sister's fiance to deal with the dowry.

Destiny made them meet where Arnav takes her in his arms when she fell from the stage.

Arnav and Khushi kept on having fights in between them. Shyam, Anjali's husband creates his image in front Gupta family so that he can get his Khushi whom he develops a secret love inspite of being a gold digger by betraying Anjali.

Arnav's fiance, Lavanya finds difficult to be the ideal Raizada bahu but situations develop and soon Arnav decides to break up with her because he realized that he was not in love with her and he didn't wanted to hurt her even more. At the same time, Khushi learns about Shyam's true colors.

Arnav's cousin brother Akash Singh Raizada falls in love with Khushi' sister Payal Kumari Gupta and through a lot of difficulties they both get married.

One day before their wedding though, Arnav wanted to confess his feelings to Khushi. Sadly, he misunderstands Khushi with Shyam. In order to save his Di's marriage and as she is pregnant, he decides to marry Khushi for six months.

During the contract marriage period, Arnav and Khushi fall in love again, despite having fights and arguments which were created by a misunderstanding, it was later cleared after Arnav was kidnapped by Shyam. Anjali suffered from depression and Shyam was brought back to Shantivan.

But things worsened when Arnav's biological grandmother Subhadra Malik enters bringing out a secret that Khushi and Payal's mother Garima is Arnav's father's girlfriend with whom he had a extra marital affair.

Before their wedding, Arnav comes to know about the truth of the painful past he is going through all these years.

He later forgives his mother in law when he remembers his mother's words. Dadi decides to leave as Arnav left his past behind forever.

After Arnav Khushi were happily married, Arnav Khushi and NK plan to make Anjali realize that Shyam is not the person whom she loves in real.

On their wedding anniversary, the truth is revealed in front of the whole family and Shyam is arrested by the police.

Soon comes another gold digger ,who used a small five year old boy to get her way to Arnav's wealth, it's Sheetal Kapoor who came into the Raizada Family as Arnav's ex girlfriend and getting Khushi into a misunderstanding that Aarav is Arnav's son. Feeling sympathy, love and care for the child, Arnav Khushi decide to adopt him as their son.

To end it from where it all started, Khushi wanted to prove Arnav that she can stand on her on feet and be best in everything be it work or family and she proved it by walking in ramp of Mrs India and winning the crown. Arnav and Khushi lived happily ever after with their son Aarav.

Arnav Khushi

The journey from hatred to undying love defines Arnav Khushi's love.How much ever they be apart from each other, but there's a way where they will get back together as they are meant for each other. Ek dujhe ke vaaste (truly meant for each other) Devi Maiya's will is this only that a arrogant, rude person like ASR can fall for a simple rooted Khushi and Khushi will make him change his attitude, is what love makes a person change when time comes because of the power if love ,nothing can stop them .

Akash Payal

The two soul mates who are made for each other met in a sweet way,where Akash fell for Payal in love at first sight, slowly when time passed Payal too fell for Akash and they both told each other thier feelings in a dramatic style in the cliff. From then on it was just like a magical journey of Payal Akash and finally they got agreement from their parents and became one by getting married and living a happily married life .

Anjali Arnav

What to say about thks siblings, one is sweet and innocent and other one is rude and anger on his nose .One doesn't believe in God and one is believer in God and keeps on doing her puja.But when something happens to one of them, then it's like a storm of tears and emotions as both Arnav and Anjali are like body and soul,that cannot be separated from each other .Anjali and Arnav are pillars of each other who give each other support at worst time and in good times.

Arnav Akash Nk

Akash and Nk is Arnav's younger cousin brother's .Akash who always gets inspiration of being like his brother Arnav in career wise,Akash is very intelligent and sweet but both are the opposite of each other in behavior wise .Nk on the other hand is very cool and relax person and he is not career minded and he likes to tease his brother Arnav as Nanav and get Arnav irritated. It's fun and nice to see the bonding between the 3 brothers who are completely different from each other.

Payal Khushi

Payal being the eldest, doesn't dominate over Khushi, but she is shy and simple girl .Khushi is chirpy, she is simple and has a lovely smile.Both the Gupta sisters stand up for each other in need and in deed like how all other siblings. Though Khushi not being Payal's real sister, Payal showers her love on her younger sibling like her own and never differentiated between each other.Pagal is very protective about her younger sister as she knows that Khushi can easily be carried away and always falls into trouble. Payal and Khushi's beautiful relationship is what is adored by all.

Shashi Garima Payal Khushi

Shashi Gupta said right that heart relations are more precious than blood relations, though Shashi is not Khushi's biological father he didn't differentiate between both his daughters loved them equally. Garima on the other being Payal's step mother and Khushi's mother who adopted her also didn't differentiate between both her kids and love both of them unconditionally,but Garima was more protective towards Khushi as she knows that her Payal can face any problem but she is worried for her younger one always. The bond between Garima and Khushi is really a treat to watch as it's just so beautiful.

Arnav Khushi Aarav

Khushi's father's words are again repeated for this another relationship that is given a name of being parents to a orphan child name Aarav.Arnav and Khushi's unconditional love and care towards Aarav was really heart touching.But it was amusing to see the parents quarrel over Aarav about what is right and wrong for him. Arnav who pampers his son and on the other Aarav's mom Khushi corrects Arnav not to pamper him so much. When both Arnav Khushi have a cute sweet and sour quarrel, it's nice to see Aarav stuck in between them .But it's nice to see when all of them come together as family share cute and lovely family moments with each other.

Khushi Lavanya

They say that your true best friend is your best supporter.Lavanya didnt like Khushi before but as time passed,she enjoyed her company and became her best buddy and when she realized her love Arnav loves her,she sacrificed her love for her buddy and didnt tell her about it.Lavanya didnt wanted Khushi to feel bad and she left all of the sudden.Lavanya calls Khushi as chamkili with love before though it was a tease,but that name became the best nickname to Khushi.It was true friendship.

The only and the most pampered son of Manohar Singh Raizada and Manorama Raizada, Akash is the epitome of calm and collected man who is a romantic at heart.

Despite being caught in between his mother and his wife, he maintains balance between his relationships and gives the amount of respect to the important ladies of his life.
He is a doting brother to his cousin-sister and is inspired by his cousin-brother, Arnav Singh Raizada professionally.

The elder step-sister of Khuhsi, Payal cherishes her sister more then anything in her life and always stands by her through think and thin. For her, her family's happiness stands before everything. She is calm, quite, collected and extremely selfless and giving. Her ability to put other's happiness before her own allows her to win hearts of everyone around her.

The coddled and most pampered individual of the Raizada household and sister of Arnav Singh Raizada. Upon shattering of her world, she leans on her brother first then ever leaning on her husband.
She upon learning of her husband's deceit and the reason of her miscarriage, stands tall and decides to move on and live her life without leaning on anything for a crutch but herself. She, along with her grandmother is the first one to ship Arnav Singh raised with Khushi Kumari Gupta.

An antagonist of the show.He was projected as a savior of Khushi initially. He was shown as a simple person, who is a lawyer by profession. But later his true colors were shown and he turned out to be Anjali's husband. He tried his best to break Arnav and Khushi's relationship and tried to kill Anjali and managed to kill his unborn baby. But,at the end, his truth was exposed by Arnav, Khushi and NK and he was thrown out of the house by Anjali herself.

The matriarch of the Raizada household, she makes sure that her children are secured int heir lives and constantly supports them in all there decisions. She has been the guardian of her daughter's children after her and her husband's death.
Deviyani Raizada is a talented dancer of her own time and continues to dance in weddings of her grandsons. She is very protective of her family and stands by what is correct. Her constant companion is her goat Laxmi who is the accomplice in her every crime. She is particularly attached to her granddaughter-in-law Khuhsi because of there love for dancing.

The Glamorous,rich and modern Manorama Singh Raizada as he thinks of herself belongs to a middle class family. She became a Raizada, changing her status from their servant to Bahu, when she fell in love and married Mahendra Singh Raizada .She is an intelligent with an instinctive detective brain .She is a mother who loves and protects her "kids" all the time. She has a love for aesthetics and food regardless she loves fashion,make-up and constant watch on her weight.She spars with her opponent, Buaji all the time .

A hardworking individual, a devoted son and husband; Manohar Raizada is a father figure to Arnav Singh raised and to his best ability makes sure to keep the household environment lightened with his comedic one-liners. His marriage to his wife is based on his love and respect towards her and he brings up his sister's children, Arnav and Anjali just as he has brought up his own son Akash. He is a man of wisdom, values and sense of humor.

NK as of NandKishore is from Sydney and is Manorama's nephew. He is quite funny, talkative, a selfless guy . His broken Hindi makes him even more hilarious. He shares a good bond with everyone especially with Khushi which irked Arnav in the beginning. He liked Khushi before Arshi's marriage but later they became good friends. He had helped Khushi to free Arnav from Shyam's clutches and also helped the duo to expose Shyam.

A modern girl ,yet holding a selfless personality within.She started on a wrong foot ,but ended a true friend and a true lover.She wins hearts showing a different angle of love at the end.

A confectioner of Lucknow who has relocated in Delhi due to circumstances and lives with his family in his eldest sister's home.Honest,loving and hard working ,yet stern and strong person. His daughters are his priority, related by blood or not he treats each equally and love them wholeheartedly. Unable to speak and is paralyzed because of Shyam's deceit actions,but his eyes are his voice and never leave the evil on loose..

A loving mother of Payal and Khushi who married to Sashi Gupta. She is shy, caring ,loyal, a selfless character. Her desire is for her daughters to be happy.She has a hidden past and secret which involves Arnav's parents' death.

A woman full of love and determination who can fight for her family ,kids and rights. Who treated her brother's daughters as her own daughters and son in laws as her own sons .She loved all remaining happy despite of not having her own family.

IPKKND would have not been complete without Buaji and her invisible Nand Kishore.

As Laxman was Ram's faithful brother, so was Akash .. loving and loyal to his brother, despite his flaws and the darkness that haunted his soul, Akash never stopped believing in Arnav.

Khushi lost her parents at an age where she could barely understand death and loneliness but she was never left unwanted or unloved. Payal wasn't just her sister but she was Khushi's best friend too, when Arnav met Khushi, a second bloomed in the shade of their destiny, Akash met Payal, a girl who loved her sister as much as he loved his brother. She was demure and He was the soft spoken, she carried the weight of a broken marriage which He took away from her with his love.

Our very own Arnav and Khushi played cupids for Akash and Payal, it was a match made in heaven but made possible by our Arhi. I can confidently say that everytime IPKKND is remembered, we will also remember all the chaos that Khushi kick started while trying to get her sister to confess her love for Akash ;)

Their love flourished in the shadows and we got just a glimpse but those glimpses were enough to warm our hearts, we wanted more but we didn't get them a lot, even though Arnav and Khushi were the soul and heart of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, the love that Payash had from the fans weren't easily swayed away. The makers of the show will always be blamed for denying us their story, and Payash will always be celebrated in their true essence. Thank you to Akshay and Deepali once again for creating the Payash we love, this would never have been possible without their talent and chemistry together!

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ? Ek Jashn!

Its been close to a year since I have written anything on IPKKND and when Maria asked me if I could do a small write up on our love for this show ... our Arhi, which has made me meet some of the most special people in my life, I just couldn't say no to her offer and what felt even more right was that she asked me to write on Ek Jashn, which was an 8 episode proof of the love and popularity that Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon at the universal stage.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon .. Ek Jashn - is something that happened out of the ordinary, it was extra ordinary because no show in the history of Indian TV got a second outing, yes we have seen different seasons of the same show happen before but Ek Jashn, it wasn't a sequel, it wasn't a new season, it was a celebration!

A celebration of a love story that didn't just conquer the hearts of Indians worldwide, but it became an International Desi Celebration. It became the face of Indian TV soap opera. We have lost count of the number of languages, both regional and foreign into which IPKKND has been dubbed and re-telecasted. Barun and Sanaya became household names amongst foreigners with no roots to India whatsoever!

Such was the power of the love saga of Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta! They came .. They Conquered ... And They Will Never Leave Our Hearts!

She fell into his arms as though a shooting star falling across the night sky and he was blinded by the light that he held in his arms.

June 6th 2016 - Marking another year of the "Jashn" ... the celebration of love and the question in our hearts remain the same ... Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ?

5 years to the first episode and Anniversary of IPKKND but such a long span of time did nothing to dampen those feelings we have for Arnav, Khushi & their chemistry! The energy in their eyelocks, the warmth of their hugs and the incomplete kisses are enough to make us blush with the same intensity as it did so many years back. Happy Anniversary IPKKND❤️

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Happy 5th year!

I still remember when I turned on the television on the 3rd or 4th episode when Khushi bumps into Arnav's SUV and that same day, I decided that I'd watch the show because it was something different that to on Star Plus.. can you believe that?! Star Plus - the channel I only thought would show only Saas-Bahu crap but who would even think that they'd agree for a 4 Lions show😆😆😆

Anyways, back to how I watched the show 😳

I'm so sure everyone must have fangirled and felt bad at the same time like the way I did.. went into stress when we heard every sad news (like closure, Barun quitting, Deepali & Akshay's last episode), did a happy dance whenever we get a "Rabba Ve" moment or Arnav laughing or the paagal Khushi doing her funny antics and Bua's "Hai re, Nandkisore", Maami's "Hello Hi, Bye Bye" or NK's crooked hindi... Oh and Payal and Akash's "Akash Ji... Payal Ji" moments and Snakewa urf Shyamji's "hisss hisss with Anjali and Khushi + plotting and planning during the kidnapping scenes😆😳

Reason why I'm posting all this is because, I haven't gone back through the days for over 3 1/2 years since the show went off but today, I'm recalling everything on it's opening because I never wanted the show to end - Sanaya and Barun and the whole team was the main reason - their bond! I think this was the first show I saw where even when off-screen, they would remain tight and close forever❤️

Sigh.. Until today, these things cannot be forgotten. Why? Because this was one of the most-loved shows and one of the most amazing shows ever!!

And when we got back the Ek Jashn episodes, everything came rolling back.. All those wonderful moments we've seen on television right when the show started - ALL ArHi scenes.. meaningful ones

Truly, grateful to the team for bringing in such a show where everyone, including me, followed.. shared thoughts and views, and laughed and cried or gotten angry/mad/annoyed or whatever emotions we had that were running through the show.😃

And through this show, I have found probably few true friends who have definitely understood my - whom I could share everything - whether if its about the show, or even personal stuffs. Met a few too in the span of 5 years!😛

Thank you, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? for giving me such wonderful memories to share above and wishing that the whole team come back together in a new show - whether if its of the same production or not - but yeah, wishing them back!!😳

So many people enter our lives, just few stay and many leave and those who stay, stay for eternity. Its hard to believe for any person, if I say ,that a girl, who one day I saw on my 32inch TV wearing a green- pink- golden color lehnga choli riding a doodh waale ka scooter in busy streets of Lucknow with a beauty of Aphrodite and a guy as hot as Eros ,intimidating , fractious and devilishly handsome getting down from a chopper and removing his shades, revealing his eyes which were as mysterious as the guy him self, had entered my life 5 years ago and are still very much there, as important as any other person in my life.. its hard to believe. YES. But that's what a show named "iss pyaar ko kya naam doon do to people.

Today completes the 5 years of this epicness. This love saga started on 6^th June 2011 and has still not ended, because a show is truly said to end when it leaves from the thoughts and hearts of its viewers and in case of IPKKND, it has only increased its craze worldwide, every year, every day.

A BIG BIG thank you to 4 lions for creating this magic along with the entire cast of this show..

UNBELIEVABLE😲 *DAMMIT* !!!!😆

It doesn't feel like it's been 5 years since IPKKND entered our lives. In fact, the memories are still very fresh in my mind.

I don't know how to express myself when it comes to IPKKND.

It was on summer holidays back to July - August 2011, when I watched IPKKND for the first time. Farwii almost forced me to watch her videomixes and told me that the story was going great so far.

I clearly told her that I won't watch shows anymore.😆 But she was zeedee and I gave an attempt and then I just fell in love with Iss Pyaar. ❤️

The concept of Nafrat and Mohabbat in a relation was new to me and I'm glad that Arhi made me discover it.

Also, it's not only with Arhi that I fell in love but with all the characters, that left an impact in the show.

I've spent memorable moments with the show and this kinda affected my real life too. My uni friends used to call me crazy😆. I remember my friends who watched Arnav's entry scene saying: "truely like a Bollywood-ish entry"😆

But now I've grew up and just like Khushi said yes woh bhi din kitne ache the...Itne ache that IPKKND EK JASHN HAPPENED few months back!!!!!

Congrats to the whole cast, team and fans for completing 5 successful years of the timeless journey and of an epic love saga!

And Barun and Sanaya, you've simply nailed it as Arnav and Khushi !!!!

What a pleasure it is to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of our show with fellow fans here on this thread.

Arnav Singh Raizada stepped off a helicopter straight into our hearts. Our 'dhak dhaks' drowning out the sound of those whirring chopper blades. Those caramel molten orbs he unveiled, inviting us to plunge into them.

Khushi Kumari Gupta hopped onto a scooty and drove into our hearts right alongside him. Her innocence and beguiling charm, melting even the most jaded and cynical amongst us. That mischievous smile making you a willing participant in her 'Laad governor ko satane ke sau tareeke'.

They made us adopt their families as our own. Their lives became a part of ours. A part we are reluctant to pry ourselves away from, even now. Leaving us still pondering on the answer to the question, "Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon".

On this special occasion I would like to congratulate the team of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and the IPK fandom on the 5th anniversary of the show.
IPKKND is the number one Indian show around the globe. It set a benchmark which is impossible to beat. The success of the show is due to Barun, Sanaya and the cast of IPKKND. Sarun played the roles of Arnav and Khushi to perfection; their modesty, their chemistry, their masti all added to the magic of the show.
All the cast members played their roles perfectly, all such humble people. The team was a perfect fit and their close bonding was cherry on top. On a final note, IPKKND gained phenomenal popularity and now I hope for a new Sarun show which will recreate the magic and be another iconic show!!

IPKKND was the best show, cult show ever, Barun and Sanaya's chemistry would always be cherished.I am not good with words but ipk was a cup of solace for me, its did show that there are happy families out there, and its not a compulsion that a negative character or a vamp can out rule everything.
IPKKND was a very today's show, it was a life changing show for all the actors mainly Barun and sanaya who are still and will always be called Arnav-Khushi by the world.

IPKKND succesfully completes 5 years this year!

The journey has been memorable with a lot of ups and downs, but at the end our love remained the same and it won't ever change...
Happy 5th ANNIVERSARY OF IPKKND TO the whole cast, team, producers, makers and to the fans.
What makes IPKKND beautiful? ITS simplicity and uniqueness... that's why the show became so popular outside India too...
I'll always carry those memories with a big smile on my facewa... those days were truely something else *dammit* !!!!
The show not only gave me epic episodes but also amazing friends here and on fb!!!!!
