Dusk
Prologue.
She inhaled a deep breath and then started walking with full confidence.
'Maintain posture Khushi. Maintain that fake smile.' She said to herself as she posed for the thousands of photographers.
She passed models as she made her way to the green room. Her walk exceptionally flawless.
She threw her heels and crashed down on the sofa, grabbing a wine glass from the counter next to her, she poured herself a drink pretending to listen to her assistant Roy.
"Whatever man. People want money that's all. That's all on which the world works on. I'm here today cause I have a body and looks, what do you think, these people will like me for my personality? My thoughts? my dreams and aspirations? No. It's all about sex, money and power. The world works on that Roy. That are it's basic principals.Gives me whatever work. I don't care anymore." She simply stated before she went to her bedroom and locked herself.
She slid past the door as her knees reached the cold ground. Staring ahead of her, she saw the straight and real image turning blurred as the tears fell from her eyes. Hugging herself and sitting with her knees around her, she cried and screamed. Unable to hold all the pain inside her.
For the world, she was a successful model.
For herself, she was just an ordinary girl.
For the world, she had a sexy figure and bold looks.
For herself, she was vulnerable, alone and in pain.
For the world, she was emotionless and heartless.
For herself, she cried every night before going to bed.
"Where am I? What am I doing? Why am I doing all this I don't know. What have I don't of myself? Where have I settled myself? Why?why? Why?" She cried as the night descended, before her sleeping face was the only thing lightened by the moonlight.
Will there be anyone on the world willing to look into her heart and soul rather than her looks? Will there be anyone willing to love her and care for her even after her insecurities and vulnerability?
Somewhere far away, a man adjusted his glasses before he turned the next page of the book her was reading.
