After many attempts to get a message about this gift project to Sriti, on July 18th Raj Baddhan of Sabras Radio was able to share our message directly with Sriti on air during an interview! Sriti's Birthday - The Gift of Giving
Hello KKB Forum!
As we all know Sriti (Pragya) Jha's birthday is around the corner on February 26th and Birthday Thread preparations are already underway.
Every time we send gifts to an actor it's a gesture of expressing our love for them & they really appreciate all the effort that is put in. Some of you have been messaging us (myself and SaaraDon) with regards to sending Sriti gifts & we've put you on hold for a special reason.

As the majority of the fan-base on Kumkum Bhagya forum is from abroad, sending gifts can cost a lot of money. Inspired by Sriti's example, we've decided to organize something different for anyone who might be interested.
Sriti's involvement with charitable organizations and social causes is well known. She is a person who loves the world, loves to help others, and loves to give back to the community. She is the kind of person who wants to make a positive difference in the world. As we can tell from her interviews and her thoughts shared on social media, Sriti finds joy in the simple and beautiful things in life, and more than material things, she cares about making the world a better place.
For her birthday, we had the idea that instead of sending gifts to her, we could participate in the gift of giving: contributing to charity inspired by her example.
The idea is, anyone who wants to participate can choose one of the options below. Then PM me so we can include your name in the list to Sriti. You can be listed by your IF username or by your real name, whatever you are comfortable with.
We will prepare a special birthday message to Sriti explaining this project and informing her of all participants and the total of what was achieved (not a list of what each person individually contributed).

Many of you may remember Sriti's work to bring awareness to the need for disaster relief in Nepal after last year's devastating earthquakes in April and May 2015. Here is a video appeal she made for a funding campaign at the time:

Fundraiser for GlobalGiving's Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund (detailed instructions below). This is an American organization that accepts donations online with a minimum required donation is $10USD. If you are 18 or over (or the age of majority where you live), or if you have parental permission, this is the easiest way to make a monetary donation to a cause we know is dear to Sriti's heart, from anywhere in the world.

We will NOT receive ANY of your personal or financial information through this process. The money flows directly from you to the charity, and they handle your information.
We only receive a notification that someone has contributed a donation, and we will not know who the donations are from unless you can send a PM confirming that you have an invoice number. We do not have access to the invoices and there is no way that we can see your personal information at any point in this process.
OPTION: ACT LOCAL
We understand it's not possible for everyone to contribute financially. If you still want to be a part of this gift to Sriti, we want to include you. You could make a donation to a cause near your home. You could volunteer in your community. You could volunteer your skills online through an organization like Skills for Change. Anything you can think of that is about giving back to others, you can do and be included in this project. Just be sure to send me a summary or explanation by PM no later than February 24th, and we will find a way to explain everyone's efforts to Sriti. We want her to know that as her fans, we are inspired by her shining example, and on her birthday, we want to share the gift of giving back to the world, as she has given so much to us with her talent and positivity.
