On this day the world was blessed,

With an artist rare, above the rest.

A voice that lingers, deep and true,

A gaze that speaks a thousand hues.

With every role, he paints the skies,

A thousand stories in his eyes.

Flawed, imperfect, yet so real,

He makes us ache, he makes us feel.

Each shade of sorrow, spark, or flame,

He breathes to life, he gives a name.

Not just an actor, but something more—

A soul that opens every door.

Today we celebrate an actor par excellence ✨

A man who wears many hats with effortless grace. A true bibliophile, forever lost in the world of books. A dancer who moves with a rhythm as natural as his smile. A pianist who can weave emotions into melodies. A fitness enthusiast who inspires with his dedication. And yes—blessed with good looks that can light up a thousand screens.

But beyond the talents, beyond the charm, what makes him truly unforgettable is the person he is—witty, intelligent, well-spoken,articulate, kind, considerate, and so much fun to know. Namik Paul is not just an actor, he is an experience, and today, we celebrate him in all his brilliance.

1000009865.png

What truly defines an actor?? Is it the loud monologues that echo long after the scene is done, or the tears that fall on cue? Is it the glamour of screen presence, or the sheer power of dialogue delivery? I’ve often asked myself this, and every time, the answer brings me back to you.

1000009846.png

An actor isn’t defined by loud scenes, over-the-top drama, or showy gestures, but in the quiet, unassuming Moments. An actor is defined by the honesty he brings into every breath of a character—the stillness, the silence, the fragility, the storm brewing behind his eyes.In the way he allows silence to linger, in the fleeting glance that says more than a hundred words, in the raw humanity that breathes through his stillness.

And Namik, you are the perfect embodiment of that definition.

1000009847.png

Watching you on screen is never like watching someone “act.” It feels like witnessing life itself unfold—raw, layered, achingly real. You make me forget the frame, forget the script. You make me believe. And that is what sets you apart.

1000006791.jpg

It’s in your little details, those micro-expressions, where your magic truly lives. It’s in the smallest of details where your genius shines brightest. The flicker of doubt in your eyes, the restrained curve of a smile, the tightening of your jaw when anger simmers but doesn’t erupt, the way your silences echo louder than words, the quiet tremor in your voice when vulnerability breaks through, the way your eyes soften with affection even before a smile follows, the sudden flicker of pain, gone in a second, but strong enough to pierce through a viewer’s heart, the restrained anger in a clenched jaw, the tender warmth in the way you look at someone onscreen—these are not just performances, these are truths. Truths that connect deeply with every viewer, because they are real, lived-in, and profoundly human. It’s those unspoken truths that leave the deepest impact.

1000009311.png

You’ve shown us that acting is not about performing—it’s about feeling.Every performance of yours is a testament to the fact that acting is not about external showmanship—it’s about internal honesty. You remind us, time and again, that the essence of a character doesn’t lie in acting it out but in becoming it. You disappear into your roles so seamlessly that the audience doesn’t watch Namik Paul on screen—they witness a living, breathing soul. And because you feel every emotion so honestly, we, too, feel it with you. Every silence of yours is heavy with meaning. Every glance, every pause, every shift in tone becomes a story of its own. You don’t just portray characters—you live them, you breathe them, you become them. That is why your work lingers long after a scene ends.

1000009310.png

In a world where noise often overshadows substance, your craft is refreshing, powerful, and unforgettable. You remind us that acting is not a performance to be displayed but an experience to be shared. Your micro-expressions don’t just show emotion—they make us feel it. They stir something deep within the viewer, leaving behind a resonance that lingers long after the screen fades to black.

And that is why your journey as an artist is so rare, so treasured. You are not just a performer of scenes; you are a painter of emotions, a sculptor of silence, a poet of expressions. You don’t just play a role—you live it, you breathe it, you bleed for it. And in that honesty lies your magic. To me, you’re not just an actor. You’re an artist in the truest sense. , who takes the simplest scene and fills it with such depth that it becomes unforgettable. There is a sincerity in your craft that touches the heart and stays etched forever.

1000009849.png

And that’s why today, I don’t just want to wish you a “Happy Birthday.” I want to celebrate you—the rare artist, the soulful performer, the person who redefines what it means to act. Thank you for giving us characters that stay with us, emotions that haunt us, and performances that remind us why art exists: to move hearts.

1000009845.png

Happy Birthday, Namik. May this year bring you roles that challenge your craft, stories that move you, moments that nourish your soul, and endless recognition for the brilliance you so effortlessly carry. Because the world deserves to see you shine even brighter.

1000009841.jpg

Here’s to you—the actor who doesn’t just act, but makes us feel alive. 💫🌹✨ An actor. An artist. A storyteller. A soul who redefines what it means to feel. That’s you. Always...

About Namik Paul

Namik Paul was born on 19 September 1987 in Dehradun, Uttrakhand. He completed his schooling from Woodstock School, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand and graduated from Lewis & Clark College, Oregon. He started his career as a journalist with NDTV 24x7, but left the job due to erratic schedule and later took up acting.(Thank God for that.... really)

He made his acting debut in 2015 with Qubool Hai portraying Ahsaan opposite Additi Gupta.

Namik Paul portrayed Shravan Malhotra in Ek Duje Ke Vaaste opposite Nikita Dutta in 2016.It proved as a major turning point in his career. He also hosted Befikre Belgium Ke with Loveleen Kaur Sasan in the same year.

From 2016 to 2017, he portrayed Adil Malik opposite Lisa Hayden in Bindass's web series The Trip, marking his web debut. In 2017, he hosted Aye Zindagi.

Namik Paul received wider recognition with his portrayal of Shiv Kapoor in Ek Deewaana Tha opposite Donal Bisht from 2017 to 2018.In 2018, he portrayed Krish Khanna opposite Bisht post the leap in the show.

He portrayed Angad Jindal in Kavach... Maha Shivratri opposite Deepika Singh in 2019.

In 2020, he portrayed Viraj Bharadwaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay opposite Erica Fernandes.

From February 2023 to May 2023, he played the dual roles of Shiv Dhoopar and Aniket Dhoopar opposite Tanisha Mehta, Post a hiatus of 3 years, Paul made his comeback with Lag Ja Gale.

Since May 2025, he is playing Shivansh Randhawa in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya opposite Pranali Rathod after a two year television hiatus and winning entire nation's heart and appreciation...and driving everyone crazy 🔥

Some of His best characters apart from Shivansh in kumkum bhagya....

Namik as Shravan Malhotra in Ekk duje ke vaaste

Namik Paul as Shravan Malhotra in Ekk Duje Ke Vaaste was nothing short of magic. He embodied a man layered with contradictions—arrogant yet vulnerable, witty yet wounded, charming yet deeply scarred. Through Namik’s performance, Shravan became more than just a fictional character; he became the boy we rooted for, the man we ached for, and the friend we wished we had. Every smile held unspoken pain, every silence carried the weight of years, and every glance spoke a language all its own.

1000009844.jpg

What made Shravan unforgettable was the way his world revolved around Suman. His love for her was not just romance—it was his anchor, his weakness, his strength, and his undoing. Namik captured that intensity with such conviction that their bond felt achingly real: a love stitched with pride, misunderstandings, longing, and devotion. What struck me most was the honesty in his performance. He didn’t just play Shravan—he was Shravan. Every nuance, every silence, every unspoken word carried meaning. When Shravan laughed, it lit up the screen with boyish charm. When he hurt, it was impossible not to hurt with him. And when his eyes softened at the sight of Suman, it felt like witnessing love in its rawest, most unguarded form.

1000009873.png

It was in the little things where Namik’s brilliance shone the brightest. The way his voice would falter when emotions threatened to break through. The flicker of doubt and pain in his eyes when he felt abandoned. The restrained way he expressed anger—controlled, but simmering beneath the surface. The gentleness of his smile, the awkward tilt of his head, the storm of emotions he could communicate without uttering a single line—all of it was Shravan, yet all of it was Namik’s artistry. As Shravan, Namik didn’t just play a role; he created a soul we could feel, one who still lingers in the hearts of everyone who watched him.

1000002465.png

As an actor, yes he was raw, he was not perfect always but heartbreakingly real and honest to the craft and character...

-----------------------------------------------------------

Namik Paul as Shiv in Ekk Deewana tha

There are some roles that test an actor beyond measure—where the challenge lies not in grand gestures or heavy dialogues, but in embodying emotions so raw, so consuming, that they transcend the screen. For Namik Paul, that role was Shiv Kapoor in Ekk Deewana Tha.

1000009879.jpg

Shiv was not just a character; he was a storm of love and anguish trapped between two worlds. A soul wronged, silenced by death, yet burning with passion, grief, and an undying devotion that tethered him to the one he loved—Sharanya, his love refused to die. To play such a role demanded an intensity that was both haunting and tender. As Shiv in Ek Deewana Tha, Namik stepped into a role unlike any other—mysterious, tragic, and hauntingly beautiful. With piercing silences, intense stares, and raw vulnerability, Namik made Shiv a spirit who wasn’t just frightening, but achingly human. He infused the supernatural with such emotion that the audience could feel both the chill of his presence and the warmth of his heart.

1000009878.jpg

Shiv’s entire being was tied to Sharanya—she was his reason, his redemption, his unfinished story. The way Namik portrayed their bond gave us love in its purest, eternal form: one that defied time, death, and circumstance. Through Shiv, Namik proved his mastery at balancing intensity with tenderness, making us believe in a love that could transcend even the afterlife. What made Shiv unforgettable was the way Namik conveyed entire universes of feeling without the privilege of many words. His eyes carried the rage of betrayal, the agony of loss, and the desperation of a man torn from life too soon. Every silent scream, every clenched jaw, every shadowed glance was charged with a kind of electricity...that made us feel his pain, his frustration, his helplessness....He was really good

1000009876.jpg

---------------------------------------------------------

💫 Shiv Dhooper – Lag Ja Gale

Namik as Shiv Dhooper was the perfect balance of intensity and vulnerability. Shiv dhoopar was not the picture of an easy romantic hero. He was guarded, complicated, sometimes frustratingly stubborn. A successful hotelier with the world at his feet, yet a man haunted by scars of his past, Shiv carried an armor of pride to protect the fragility within. And this is exactly where Namik’s brilliance shone—he didn’t let Shiv become just another brooding lead; he made him deeply human. On the surface, Shiv was practical, disciplined, and often guarded. But Namik ensured that beneath that stern exterior, you could always catch glimpses of a man deeply capable of love and longing. His performance carried subtlety—expressions that shifted like whispers, words layered with meaning, and emotions that simmered just beneath the surface.

1000009842.jpg

Every scene was layered with subtlety. The sharpness in his voice when he tried to push people away, the flicker of hesitation in his eyes when his walls cracked, the softened expression when he looked at Ishani despite fighting his feelings—these little nuances made Shiv unforgettable. Namik mastered that difficult balance: portraying a man who resisted love even as his heart betrayed him

1000009874.jpg

Shiv’s journey found its anchor in his bond with Ishani. The way Namik portrayed their relationship was filled with unspoken depth—a love that slowly bloomed amidst misunderstandings and differences. It wasn’t loud or dramatic, but beautifully tender, making every shared glance and quiet moment feel significant. With Shiv, Namik once again proved his ability to humanize even the most restrained character, breathing into him a soul that felt alive.

1000009881.jpg

---------------------------------------------------------

One of Namik Paul’s most underrated yet brilliant gifts is his comic timing. It’s not just about delivering a funny line—it’s about how he delivers it. His humor flows with such effortlessness that it never feels scripted. A raised eyebrow, a sly smirk, a pause before the punchline—he knows exactly when to hold back and when to let go, creating moments that make you laugh without even realizing why.

What makes his comic timing stand out is that it’s rooted in authenticity. He doesn’t force comedy; he lets it arise naturally from the situation, from the quirks of his character. Whether it’s Shravan’s witty banter, Shivansh’s sarcastic quips, or the playful teasing in lighter scenes, Namik adds a sparkle of charm that makes the humor both intelligent and endearing. It’s this blend of wit, subtlety, and spontaneity that makes watching him not just entertaining, but an absolute delight.

And I have not seen him as Angad Jindal – Kavach: Maha Shivratri....so anyone who has seen him there...I would love to hear your views...

Shivansh Randhawa — Flawed Beauty, Perfect Imperfection

No matter how much I write about this character, for me nothing comes close to explaining my true attachment with this character...

Shivansh Randhawa, stripped down to the very bone, was a young man from a troubled home. He was shaped by abandonment from his mother, molded by betrayal, and defined by wounds that never healed. In his eyes, he had been rejected by both parents—not once, but always. And so, he built his life on work. Not only because it gave him purpose, but because it was the one thing that could not leave him. Work was his armor, his validation, his way of proving that yes, he was enough.

1000002963.jpg

Shivansh was a man who constantly pushed people away. But beneath that coldness was a desperate plea: "Fight for me. Show me that I am worth fighting for. Show me that I am worth loving". He was complicated, cynical, sometimes arrogant, sarcastic—a shield forged out of wit and arrogance—but inside, he was still the abandoned child who longed for home.

That is what made Shivansh Randhawa unforgettable. He was a paradox—so much flawed beauty and perfect imperfection. A man of pure intent, who made mad mistakes. A soul brimming with pride and vulnerability. He was easy to criticize, but impossible not to feel for. You could not watch him and remain untouched.

1000009863.jpg

For me, Shivansh was painfully relatable. I saw his internal struggles: in his abandonment issues, his sarcastic shield against the world, his resentment toward his parents, his insecurities and self-doubt, his fear of rejection, his craving for love and acceptance, and the mistakes born of those wounds. To me, he wasn’t just a character on screen—he was human, tangible, real.

For Shivansh, Prarthana wasn’t just love—she was his anchor, the one soul who silenced his storms. In her presence, his brokenness found healing and his guarded heart finally learned to feel. She was the only truth he could never doubt no matter how much he tried, the one person who saw the man beneath the scars. With Prarthana, Shivansh’s need to be loved finally met its home.

And what brought that raw humanity alive was Namik Paul. Few actors inhabit a character so completely. But Namik seems to crawl inside the very skin of the people he plays. Every detail in his performance—every pause, every flicker of his eyes, every deliberate silence—is fine-tuned and deeply thought through. And yet, it never feels crafted. It feels natural, lived-in, achingly believable.

1000009864.jpg

The way Shivansh cried. Namik would draw air into his lungs and hold it there, his shoulders lifting as if the sob was stuck in his throat, as if the pain inside him was too great to release. His expression rarely contorted into exaggerated theatrics. Instead, it was subtle—a twitch of a muscle, the glisten of unshed tears, the hollow sorrow in his eyes. That quiet devastation spoke volumes, carrying more truth than any dialogue could. It wasn’t just hurt—it was anguish so sharp, so consuming, that it made me feel sick for him.

1000009824.jpg

That is the artistry of Namik Paul. He doesn’t just play a role. He embodies it. He doesn’t perform emotions—he feels them, and in doing so, makes us feel them too. Through him, Shivansh became not just a man on screen, but a soul I will carry with me.

Even when Shivansh was introduced as the anti-hero in the initial phase, Namik never reduced his characters to flat, one-dimensional darkness. He twisted those shades of black, allowing glimpses of humanity, hurt, and longing to slip through the cracks. We always knew there was more behind the mask, more beneath the surface. Shivansh did not remain static— he grew, he stumbled, he evolved. And because of that, he left a mark long after the episode ended.

1000009886.png

What I find most admirable is that Namik never seems afraid of this characters being disliked. He doesn’t soften edges or dilute flaws just to win approval. Instead, he leans into the complexity, the mess, the contradictions. Because perhaps hating a character is also a form of caring—it means the audience is engaged enough to feel. Namik embraces that risk with grace, knowing that truth in performance matters more than comfort.and he infuses this raw sharp edges of Shivansh with such devastating innocence and humanity that we end up understanding his every idiosyncrasies...we may not agree with him,we may feel frustrated with him but we understand him...

1000009888.jpg

That is his gift. He perceives not only the design of a role but also the textures that make it real—the silences between words, the quiver in a breath, the smallest twitch of an expression. He sees the nuances others might miss and draws them out with an instinct that feels almost innate. And when he does, the result is unforgettable. His characters don’t just entertain—they inhabit you.He wrings out his character until every shade has been exposed, every hidden corner illuminated, until you cannot help but feel something powerful.

1000009887.jpg

As an admirer, thank you, Namik, for being so sweet, kind, and considerate towards us—for never taking our love for granted, and for always making us feel seen and valued. The way you explain your understanding of characters with such depth, nuances, and layers in interviews shows the respect you hold for your craft and for the audience. The way you drop little hints to cheer us up when the fandom is distressed, or share your excitement with us after a powerful scene, truly makes us feel a part of your journey. The way you spread joy with your witty, fun instagram posts and BTS videos..You have a rare gift of connecting with people, both on-screen and off, and that makes you even more amazing

Wishing you the happiest birthday,Mr Namik Paul. May this year bring you all the love, light, success, and joy you so deeply deserve. Thank you for giving us characters that live in our hearts forever and for being an artist who inspires every single day. ✨
