We all are well aware that this show is centered around Sita's point-of-view. But I know very little of Sita.
I have seen Mahabharat and was active on the forum so know a lot about Draupadi (and she is my inspiration also) but I hardly know much about Sita other than the fact that she was a good wife to Ram.

If some people who know a lot about her can share their knowledge with me, I'll be delighted. 😊 I am looking forward to the show.

P.S. - Madhrikashi looks good as Sita in the promo. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Looking forward to sensible conversations on the show in this forum.

What is it that you want to know dear ? Anything specific. 😊

I like Sita ji in bits and portions. I definitely like her more than Ram ji. I dont know what they are going to show in the serial because it is indeed true that her side of the story would mean as seen from her eyes and it can be very very different to what we have perceived or known or have been told until now.

I am quite curious to know the Source of this as it has intrigued me a lot. I have even asked the Writer of the show Anand Sir to shed some light on the available material on Sita ji because honestly speaking I have found none !!! ..lets see what he says.

The biggest question that I have in mind is if these ladies are so great ...like Draupadi, Sita ji etc ...why are girls not named after them... Ram and Arjun are quite in use ...aren't they !

I have heard that it is believed no one names their girls after the above ladies due to the kind of lives they led ...I mean it was full of struggles and sorrow ... Why are things this way ?

Kind of looking for answers to a lot of questions in my mind. Lets see if I get them.

I want to know anything and everything about her. But some essential facts that are necessary for the show will do. πŸ˜ƒ
I am excited for the show.

Ok !! cool. I shall share an article with you. You can have a read ! 😊
For starters ... I can say that she was not King Janak's biological child, she was found in Earth while ploughing a field... he brought her home and raised as his daugher ! This is why the song on the show says ... Shitija Bhaumi ...meaning ...Daughter of the Earth !!

oh I know this. And I know the summary of Ramayana as well. I know all these things but how was Sita as an individual. Like, her ideology, her thoughts, her actions. Do we have any strong source giving us intricate knowledge about these things.

Hey MR !!

Sorry I got late yaar !!

No one names their daughter as Sita this side ...likewise for Draupadi . I have asked this question a lot in my younger days and was told the above... it did not satisfy me at all. So the question has remained behind in my head ...lets see if this time it will get answered.

I am gonna eat the heads of the writers I am telling u ...they have lit a stack of hay on fire ..! lol !!

I have hundreds of questions !! Poor writers...πŸ˜‰

People do name their daughters as Siya, Maithili and Vaidehi which are all names of Sita.
And oh! I know people who are named after Draupadi.

Actually, I guess people look more towards the struggles than their grace and personality. If looked in a manner Draupadi was a very strong women but people fail to look that way.

hey ! first of all...me is Ruchi !
Aaliah3108 is my pseudo name only.

Well the thing is this only why by -names are used ...Sia is common ...Vadehi is ...but in all my 30 years of being on earth , I have not heard a single person named as Sita ! 😊

@ Bold : Cant agree more to it !! She was one hell of a strong woman but yeah it was a man's world and she was thus chosen not to be looked at that way ! All they said about her was she was the cause of the WAR !! which is supreme level of nonsense!!
