Some things that stood out in the scene between Ranaji and Gayatri:
- The apology for going into the palace without even looking back at her.
- In a bid to get her to break her fast, he repeated her dialogue (the one she delivered the day she issued her diwali challenge) that one can't fight a battle on an empty stomach. Evidence that even the new team is aware of the past scenes! Unless they were already on board at that time.
- The King admitting to having fasted too was a nice touch. Had they completed the ritual earlier, he probably would not have told her at that time. Now, with his admission, she too got an opportunity to him break his fast. And that moment earlier in the night takes on added poignancy. When she was viewing the moon as part of the ritual, he too was looking at his moon.

By the way, did he unlatch the door on his way out?
Alright, so this "Sulakshana" wasn't the veiled lady. Unless there's an army of them in Amerkot and they work in shifts!
The veiled lady. She's not Rajmata. She's not Yashoda. She's not Swarnalekha. She's not Kunwar chachi. She's not "Sulakshana". Would Badi Rani Maa roam around the palace in this attire?
Interestingly, when Sulakshana made her entrance, Kunwar Chacha insisted that she is Sulakshana. And the gleeful smirk exchanged between Kunwar Chacha and Kunwar Chachi meant that they probably knew what was afoot. So, defying all logic, is Badi Rani Maa indeed the veiled lady who condescended to travel in the boot of the car? Or perhaps one of their secret agents?
Kunwar Chacha insisting that the lady is Sulakshana. The latched door. If these don't have the King ferreting out conspiracies, Gayatri needs to gift the King a copy of Chanakya's Neetishastra or Machiavelli's The Prince.
Call for the evidence, Your Highness. Perhaps a visit to the tribals' settlement will not be amiss. Or have a trusted aide do it. Take Sulakshana there later and see if all the tribals identify her as someone who has been with them for the past six years. She would have picked up their dialect too. If indeed it is a plot, your enemies will need to have deep pockets to be able to cover all their bases.
On second thoughts, should Rajmata be gifting the books to Gayatri? Gayatri needs to be trained not merely to look like a Royal, but to think like a Royal.
