How filmy!! The heroine wants to do everything to save hero's honor and the hero wants to do everything to save the honor of his family specially her title!!
I actually enjoyed the episode today!

There were a bunch of things to like...
First of all RNJ...yes, he is annoyed that Wilkie is doing this...and yes he is annoyed that the dear Queen has brought upon this new problem for them...

But...
Neither he nor RM go on a rant pointing the finger even Swarna didn't point the finger at her for insulting Wilkie...which would have been so easy to do...
All there was that one dialogue ...how how much this is going to cost and storming out...and annoyance!

Never the less...

Both of them jump in to genuinely find a solution...
RM...rightly points out that this is not a tax...this is a fine...!
RNJ ...is furious to have very little freedom to not do as the English say...as he doesn't have the army to fight them...His solution is to give up his most prized possession...his plane! [i bet I have seen this exact scenario playing out somewhere else before...where the ML was going sell his dear plane...for something...can't recall exactly...]

Any who,...so where was I? Yes...he wants to see the plane...but The Queen will not have him give up his prized possession...for she loves him too much ...Aww...it is The Gift of Magi...story...sorta...She gave him a gift for his honor that he thought was lost in the act...so half of the story checks out...at least...😆

So she jumps in to protect him...we will talk about this one later...

What I loved about today's episode is ...the scene between RNJ and RM!! That was very well done..,,

My internet video was messed up so...have not seen the whole thing...but RNJ...getting furious over the Queen spending time with Wilkie...Hmmm ...looked like Wilkie touched a raw nerve there! He may refuse as much as he wants that he doesn't care...he does care about she not being available to anyone else...no difference between a husband and a king there! Either way you look at it...it is unacceptable to him...

So what is going to do? I think confrontation is what he has in his mind...which didn't happen as Swarna walked in...Hence the plan to do it in seclusion now...I hope all that planning and black sari and all is not all for lecturebaazi...accusation and analysis!

A good finish to an otherwise...not a great week! 👏 SK emoted well in his scenes today...DD dialed in her emotions well too! The story telling was more convincing today!!

Great scene between Swarna and Gayatri!
She reading a poem she wrote and Gayatri appreciating that ...and asking her why the princess is so sad!

Swarna's silence ...when Gayatri points out that Lakshya is always there with her...
And Gayatris dialogue which was said innocently but had a BIG meaning...

Swarna is not alone ...because Gayatri is there now ...with her!!

LOVED that one!! 👏

Rani Gayatri Devi...the emotional one! The passionate and daring one...who is immature but has her heart in the right place!

She gives up all the riches...she must do it...without losing a minute...
For his loss is too much for her to bear...she doesn't want to give him even a chance to make that sale he has thought of as a solution! Good script writing...! Both had reasonable solutions...

She looked fab in that black shawl with only eyes uncovered! ⭐️

She can't resist having an outburst at Wilkie...yeah...once again...the immature emotional one...but also the one who loves RNJ a lot...and will try her level best for him!

She did not anticipate how this act will be twisted into hurting the very same person she is trying to protect...

Wilkie knows how to manipulate emotional people! He will do exactly the same...but perhaps this is destined to bring them closer??

Lovely analysis sush.
Agreed .
I was happy Ranaji didn't jump to conclusions until
Wilkinson sent him the anklet. And Gayatri did lie to him
once again ,that he is now assured of.
Hopefully he'll listen to her.Seeing him shocked and angry kind of gave me the idea he cares more than he wills. He should be happy is dear plane still remains his but nope.Whats cooking in his mind I wonder.Poor gayatri always anticipating some affection from Ranaji.I don't blame her.Love makes you blind is an apt saying and rightly so.

Hello,

Thanks for the post...thought you would make one...glad to be proved right..

I thought this was a much better episode than the previous ones!

Much better thought out and much better executed!

Loved the scene between RM- Rana ji. I got what I wanted and boy, am I glad! It was a subtle scene and yet powerful in its own way! Must say that Anita Raaj- Siddhant Karnick have excellent chemistry!

So, Gayathri decides her jewels are better off sold than Rana ji's Mayur Pankh! Don't have a problem with her sweet thought! However, unfortunately for her, she only thought of a physical possession that Rana ji cherished and not the honour that is more important than life to him. How did she even imagine he would not get to know? Was it some dirty secret that Wilkinson was supposed to keep? Confidence and naivete is one thing but this was downright foolish! Her bravado with Wilkinson failed to impress me because of the foolishness of her act! Forget his accusations! For me, whatever her intentions, she had managed to subvert the authority of the king and compromised his honour in the process.

What if tomorrow Wilkinson turned around and said that Rana ji had intentionally sent his wife to him to seek the favour of waiving the tax or some such crap?!

Please don't turn Gayathri into more of a Ms Know it all, creatives!

Ah, the period telephone! The prop that was missing in the Johnson scene! Nice to see it showing its face!

Rana ji's simmering anger post his telephonic talk, his veiled anger and talk with Gayathri post that, all of that was nicely done! But why is Gayathri so dim? Can't she ever read between the lines, identify nuances? Why is her head in the clouds always? Particularly after her secret mission! She was behaving like she had just taken a stroll in the park. In the joy of seeing him in her bedroom, guess she forgot to feel anything else! Sigh but like Chick says, that is Gayathri.

So the missing anklet surfaced in the same episode! A typical soap might have stretched the mystery for some two weeks. Nice to see that this never happens on this show! If only they would also reject the typical soap tracks like 'jeere ka tadka'! After having been lied to by your wife on her whereabouts, discovering a letter from another man with her anklet enclosed. Must have seemed damning and he would have to be a saint or superhuman to clinically analyse Wilkinson's intentions. He did already give her the benefit of doubt once but she of course believed that Wilkinson was her BFF who would guard her secret for life!

Biraha, what a beautiful word that is!

And what a wonderful exposition of the same by Swarna! The subtle, nuanced expressions, her rendition of the poetry, full marks to the actress..! She made the scene beautiful!

On the precap, no surprises! How he is going to manage to lose her in the jungle and then rescue her remains to be seen!

Sorry Sush but my guess is it is going to be a nasty scene for sure! He is going to set her up and then question her character! I am only glad that the conversation will remain between them unlike the dining table episode.

He is fuming and you know how Rana ji behaves when he loses control! The silver lining is that he is affected by the goings on as a man just as much as a king. Despite everything, he gave her the benefit of the doubt because of who Wilkinson is. But she sealed her fate and now the volcano is waiting to erupt again. Much as he denies it, he is hurt by her perceived betrayal! Which means he expected her loyalty despite his many claims on her manipulative ways! Which means the iceberg had begun to melt!

But well...

Anyway, an episode where every character was true to itself, even if we may not like what they did!

Lastly, this episode goes to Rana ji, despite Gayathri's bravado!

Was RM coming across as too cold and manipulative to the TRP crowd that they have been 'humanizing' her lately? I am glad we are seeing other aspects of her character. She may have suppressed all emotions due to her life experiences. AR-SK do have great chemistry, that was a brief but amazing scene to watch. It was getting tiresome to watch RNJ taunting or fighting with RM and RM trying to get him to accept Gayu past few weeks.
AR is quite impressive as RM. TBH, I never thought much of her emoting skills from what little I remember of the few movies I watched years ago. But I think movies in general from that era are not even worth taking about! AR has been a pleasant surprise.
I love the RNJ nods... different nods for different emotions. 😆

Gayu and Swarna scene was good too. I am really liking the actress who plays Swarna. She portrays the aura of royal lineage very naturally and gracefully.

I forwarded the Gayu-Wilkie convo. The know-it-all, fix/reform/save everything, morally superior, always right, preachy FL speeches bore and annoy me simultaneously.

Editing flaw in the RNJ-Wilkie scene was a little annoying but RNJ's reaction was a sight for sore eyes. I loved the way he slumped down on the chair. It was a shock big enough to make him go to Gayu's room. No man would tolerate news such as this calmly. Despite his anger and sense of betrayal he wanted to give her the benefit of doubt. Nice. He got the proof he wanted right away, CVs thanks for not dragging!

Good the hear the male version of sawariya again...

Wilkie was really struggling to talk with an accent.😆

Not a bad episode to end a rather disappointing week for many of us. Hoping next week is better and we get to see start of some RaGa romance... and the horse and the knight in white... or black on the horse😛

Glad to see your post Sush. Missing Shwets, Bhavi, Grumpy.

Nice post. There is one month till Deepawali. So, its likely that the Creatives hav planned more confrontations and humiliating scenes for Gayatri. Yesterday's episode had a decent pace. Finally, Rana Deo was emoting with his eyes. The phone scene was nicely done. He couldn't believe what Wilkinson told him. 😊

Rana Deo is yet to understand Gayatri. So, the half-naked man who was testing his Rani's desperate overtures to 'eat him' despite his clear disinterest, is likely to be seen again next! Now, his ego and manhood are hurt. Esp. when his Rani seeks out another man, for whatever reasons. And to top it all, he wasn't even consulted...😡 Its like questioning his authority and taking decision-making in her own hands. No King can tolerate that...

If the scenes become predictable, I will lose interest. For eg. if Rani Gayatri Devi is shown belting dialogues to defend herself everytime and then gulps down some wine to forget Rana Deo and sings,"Na jao saiyaan chudake baiyaan, kasam tumhari mein ro padungi..." Uggh... 😡

Yes, y'day was a nice way to end the week. I loved it.
Tehre was no kitchen. No dinning table. No Kokila. Key characters going about solving one problem, even as a bigger one surfaces.👏

Loved RM-RNJ scene. AR & SK have this beautiful non-verbal communication betwen tehm, taht's so visible just when they are in teh same frame.RM was the sad yet proud mother y'day. She cared for her son and he knew it.ANd these two actors are able to bring it out with a slight touch on the shoulder & a nod.👏Well done AR-SK.May you get more scenes.
@Infofan- i like the humanizied RM.Ofc,i could see her even if the TRP folks didn't earlier.

I'm not surprised G did what she did.And the way she did. She'll make more unilateral decisions in her crazy lover mind and act upon them in teh middle of teh night.Seh'll face the bigger consequences with annoying attitude whenthey hit her, for now she is happy, she saved her king.
DD aced in that scene with Wilikie.
Damn, i even liked Wilkie y'day.Teh actor wasn't making faces he acted as a scheming man, bent on revenge.
RaGa cross-talk in G's chamber was interesting.Someday RNJ will realise how innocent his meddlesome wife is and feel ashamed.😆
Nice way to open Swarna's can of worms, thr her sad poems.good job Cvs👏
Yet to watch pre-cap.
I think, they are back on track after floundering last week.
