I agree that Kabir's over cautious nature when it comes Ananya created an unnecessary situation today. But I don't agree to the point he can't see beyond himself. His concern for Ananya is not because of his self obsession, he is worried that she might get punished for being close to him, and it is a deep rooted concern and love for her which makes him behave so.

Agree about the corporate world..we come across such situations daily where each one thinks of their position in an organisation. ..friends are just superficial most of the times

But about Kabir no I don't agree that he can't see beyond himself. .he has always been the silent type who even before breaking the wall that he has surrounded himself with and confessing his love for Ananya used to in his own subtle ways try to make things easier for her and help her out..but unfortunately she never realised it then and does not even try to realise it now. ..noone but he knows Shreya well and knows she has come with an hidden agenda and wants to protect Ananya now..wish Ananya tries to understand Kabir

I agree that that it's his concern that makes him act this way. I did not mean that he is self-centred or selfish or anything of that sort. I felt that he is making it too personal when it need not be so. What are the odds that Shreya is actually out to get kabir through ananya? She may or she may not. but how does kabir know that? For all intents and purposes Shreya might not even know for a fact that Kabir and Ananya are a thing!

But in singling her out, he made sure that she knows that there is something there. the promotion might have been a genuine thing and not related to Kabir anyway. That is what i meant.

Kabir suspects shreya is up to something, which is why he opposed the promotion. ever since shreya made her entry, Kabir is off his game and it shows but how does one handle their conniving ex wife? if it was just him, then maybe he would be more composed but since it's ananya, he is behaving erratically. i totally get what you mean by creating an awkward situation but he is not thinking straight right now. he needs to stop being so paranoid and intelligently thwart shreya's attacks without making it so obvious. i don't know what else to say right now except kabir is caught between a rock and a hard place.

Kabir knows Shreya and so he is suspecting her every move - which has led him to be doubtful of the intention of promoting Ananya...his utmost thought is safeguarding Ananya - but unfortunately it is backfiring for him as Ananya does not understand this...Probably because she doesnt know the past and Shreya's behaviour at present does not indicate any games being played...on the contrary she is worried at Kabir's reaction to Shreya's entry...

The only way that they both can come on the same page is by talking to each other - have a dialogue..listen to each other...and try to put themselves in each others shoes...Just hope we get to see that soon...

We have seen enough of Kaya confusion now - we now want to see them together...and standing up to any games against them...
