Prologue
Two more floors left. Khushi looked at the remaining stairs longingly. She has come to seventh floor by feet with a bunch of files in her hand. Seeing no one nearby she leaned at the wall tiredly and took deep breaths to steady her heartbeats.
Tired?? whispered a voice in her ears. Khushi's body shivered automatically hearing the voice. Slowly opening her eyes, she found Arnav leaning too close on her. She straightened instantly. Arnav straightened too and smirked at her scared face.
Aww..Khushi baby is scared..said Arnav looking at her. However, Khushi kept silent.
Kya hua Khushi baby?aaj koi bakra nahi mila kya help karne ke liye?..asked Arnav mockingly.
Khushi tried to leave without replying but Arnav stepped before her.Arnav..whispered Khushi pleadingly. Arnav leaned at her face again and Khushi clutched the files in fear.
Take the lift..ordered Arnav.Khushi's eyes widened. Her eyes filled with unshed tears. She shook her head to deny him.
What! barked Arnav. You won't listen to your fiancee..asked an angry Arnav.
You won't die..unfortunately..hissed Arnav making her flinch at the hatred in his voice. Arnav grabbed her hand and took her near lift. When the doors opened, he pushed her inside harshly. Khushi about to fall, balanced herself and the files holding the sidewalls. As the doors were going to close, Arnav saw khushi look at him with tears falling from her eyes for the last time.
