FF: An Italian Serenade-pt3-pg17-9/28

Short background:

Ms. Bani Dixit, the esteemed Horse Jockey who won Indian Derby got married to Mr. Jai Walia on the sly and got estranged from him after discovering she has a bun in the oven. Mr. Walia is a business tycoon who has a fat ego (for those of you who are expecting anything else, sorry!) , a quick , cutting tongue and even quicker, volatile temper.

So they love, they hate, they fight, they separate, they come back together -phew...finally!!

If Mrs. Walia is a horse jockey and a talented writer, Mr. Jai Walia is no less talented. The multi faceted Mr. Walia is horseback rider, airplane pilot, a violinist and an archer to the boot!

Then we have the usual suspects - Ranveer (rough edged renegade, who has a biting tongue and brooding attitude), Rano (acidity is thy middle name, a regular sour puss and compulsive gambler to the boot and I have a strong feeling she passed it on to her offspring, Rohan)....

Pia (Gee whiz, she forgot her witch's broom when she was born, in this FF, but a fashion designer who wants to revamp Walia's outdated wardrobe and put the pizzazz in Pushy's already zany get up), Pushy is the womanizer with a roving eye, who got caught in Pia's fishing net...Poor chap.

Tarun is wooing Rashi...I think he is really chasing the client in the hope Rashi would sue Ranveer for ditching her to go after Rano. Walia is not paying him enough.

Jigyasa is booted out from the Walia mansion, but Adity needed someone to sharpen his wit on, so she is back traveling with them.

Anu and Rohit: Anu is preggers, recently married, after the fact (of course)...

Nachiketh Walia: Recently accepted by JW as the not so hip sibling who has the ill fortune of being the son of a very hip mom who is attracting rich and eccentric men who have the 'A'ddiction to 'A' words...

Vishesh aka Vishy and Vikrum (Vik), the Rakhi brothers of the Dixit sisters. They are from Hyderabad/US who are accepted members of the Mensa, whose quick wit makes even the best of the lot to shiver in their boots.

Sahil, Dadi, Maasi are of course in the game, Sahil the only dim witted member (I think some one switched him at birth)...Dadi is in search of Salman Khan, she heard he is from Italy in Dil De Chuke Sanam..Maasi was overruled by dadi, no teerth yaatras for her, she heard that Italian men like portly women with a taste for good food...

Of course there have to be little people in the equation, little Reya, the rays of fire (Named after JR - Jwala Reya) - daughter of JW and BW;

Rohan (a kissophobic kid who wears glasses like mama and a tikka like his dad) - OK - I don't want your brains to be overworked on whose kid he is...Rano and Ranveer's ladli beta...

Both Reya and Rohan are 5+ years old.

Occasional occurrences are good looking hairy I-talian men and Portly, hairy I-talian women, The Ad-bhoot Aparajit Dev and if the story develops my brain might even make an appearance.

SO what are the Walia's doing in Italy??

They are in search of Maansi - Vikrum's ex-girlfriend who ran away five years ago, I think she was mad that she was not a member of the Mensa....

So now that introductions are over, I will continue the story tomorrow....

Yes, this is kind of like Munnabhai goes to America, even though I haven't seen it...Plagiarism be damned... Did I say that, don't worry, Tarun Sablok is making a friendly appearance and he is not into copyright law....

btw I love when you said "Tarun is wooing Rashi". I got a very funny image in my head of Tarun running after Rashi begging her to be his 😆 😆 - me and my silly imagination, we are quite a pair!

I love Nachiket, both the character and the actor, plus that beard he has now on KS makes him look very cute! Just like his older brother!😳

Will be waiting for you to continue the story and hear a lot about Italy! I have begun reading your Candle in the Wind and I just flipped out on the first few chapters! Its brilliantly and wittly penned and is obviously very popular, judging by the response it has been getting!
