Calling mom and dad by name

I was juz wondering..correct me if i'm wrong...even the most modern families in the west dont call their parents by their names....so how come the Thakrals do? how modern are they...

Only people with step parents in the west call them by their names.....why would someone call their mom and dad by their first names...these serials overdo the modern lifestyle

Yeah...they overdo these types of things...i mean seriously...who calls their parents by their names? I dont even call my parents' friends by their names 😳 ....it's def. unrealistic

😆 that's hindi serial 4 u. they sometimes over do certain things 😕 i'm not indian but i know they do have a lot of respect.

ya ur rite...ppl in the west call their stepparents by name.....noone calls their own parents by name....well i guess i agree with all u ppl here.....indian serials..sigh!

come on they are ur parents..atleast use the word mom or dad no matter wht the situation in ur house is
