We have heard that the True Love is a way to reach the God...It is the purest thing beyond every physical attribute. One could attain the God by his/her total surrender and devotion for Him. There are many stories that states romantic encounters of princes and princesses, common people, liaisons between demigods and mortals but none have the essence that could inspire ones soul from mortality to divinity. Yet there is an exception.
Eaons ago, there was an ascetic, a hermit. He had rejected everything that could bind him to the worldly affairs. He withdrew himself in a secluded place, where none could reach him. Everything around him ceased to still, static. Then one day a young woman, a princess fell for him. She was the opposite of the hermit, restless, dynamic. But she drew towards the hermit as if he was the magnet and she, a piece of iron. She felt that she was connected with him from her all previous births and will be for her all next births. For her, he was the love personified. But the hermit rejected her as he renounced every material pleasure. Though it was not enough to discourage her. She, with her selfless devotion and adoration for the hermit, finally won his heart. She succeeded to engage him with world, thus with her. He accepted her unconditional love, married her and gave her his heart, made her part of his soul. And with heat of their passion everything that were frozen, started melting, flowing. Wind breezed, streams and brooks flew and took the form of the river, new lash of green sprouted, flowers bloomed. Thus 'Paramatma' or the Supreme Soul's still and static part, the 'Purusha' engages with the restless and dynamic part, the 'Prakriti' or the Nature as the destructive form of the God, Shiva and Sati, the incarnation of the Goddess as the personification of the energy or Shakti. Though due to her father's ignorance and jealousy she immolated herself in order to punish him, she couldn't bear her beloved Shiva's grief and lament from her separation. Sati reunited with him again as Parvati, in her next birth. Thus, the First love story of the universe became the best and most divine love story.
The roles of Lord Shiva and Lady Sati were played by handsome yet humble Mohit Raina and beautiful and playful Mouni Roy respectively. They both essayed their role perfectly. It was their powerful and intense performance and chemistry which made the both role Lord Shiva and Lady Sati alive and divine
