Hello Friends...I am here with another FF...Being a Malayalee I wanted to cast Aashlok in a typical Kerala background.. I have included the translation of certain words in the brackets for you all to understand..I will continue only if you all like it..😊

A village in Kerala, 1997
The morning sun shone over the huge public pond. The pond was completely filled with water, all thanks to the Kaalavarsham (rainy season in Kerala in the months of June, July and August). The kids in the area were having their Onam vacation. So, most of them had assembled at the banks of the pond to have fun. They were having a kind of diving competition. The hero of our story, Shlok, who had just turned 11, was ready to take his plunge into the deep water. He jumped down from the high wall surrounding the pond and dived into his depths. He always loved the feeling. He came up to the surface and shot his hand up in the air victoriously. His friends appreciated him with their applause and cheering words..
Suddenly they heard someone crying at the top of her voice. They looked at the direction of the noise and saw it..A small girl who might be around 8 years was drowning in the water, only a certain distance away..Shlok swam as fast as he could in that direction. Her mother, who was standing at the bank was crying loudly for help. Shlok reached the girl in a few minutes and took hold of her hair and pulled her up..Then he swam towards the shore with her.
After pulling her on to the steps of the pond bank..He pressed her tummy and water gushed out of her mouth..After a few minutes she regained her consciousness..Her mother thanked him profusely and hugged him..

The girl's home (in the same village)
Her father , F: Don't you think that you are responsible for what happened to Chinnu today..?
Her mother was crying bitterly..But her father was totally furious..
Her Mother, M: I know..It's my fault..I wasn't careful enough..Please forgive me..(sobbing bitterly)
F: Don't you cry in front of me..You know that I don't like crying..
M: I am sorry..(tries to control her weeping)
F: You only compelled us to come to this wretched village of yours..
M: I wanted to come here because my mother is not well..She is alone over here..
F: Then you stay here..I am taking Chinnu to Mumbai itself..
M: (pleads) Noo..Please don't do that..
F: My decision won't change..Now move aside from my way..You know that there is no meaning in our relationship ..We are just staying together because of our daughter..After today's incident you have proved that you are such a careless mother..

After two days
Chinnu's mother was sitting in the verandah of her tharavaadu(ancestral house) . Shlok and his friends were riding their bicycles along the narrow alley which lay ahead of that house..Shlok saw the lady and he stopped his cycle. He walked towards her and asked..
S: How is your daughter..?
She began to cry..Shlok was tensed..He came closer to her..
S: What happened..Why are you crying..?
She told him everything which happened on that fateful day..Shlok felt sorry for that lady..
S: Don't worry..If you are in need of anything, just tell me..I am staying in the house next to you..You know "Mangalasseri" tharavaadu..I am the son of Late. Niranjan Menon and Anjali..
M: Oh..You are Anjali's son, Shlok..? She was my best friend before I got married..You were only 1 year old at the time of my marriage..
S: (smiles) Oh!! I will tell my Amma that you have come back from Mumbai..And listen..Consider me as your son from today onwards..Just tell me whatever you need at any time..What is your name..?
M: Madhavi..(smiles)

17 YEARS LATER, MUMBAI- 2014
Ananthan Nair reached his luxurious villa in the suburbs of the city. His wife Kalindi served him dinner as soon as he arrived at the dining table after freshening up..
An: Where is Chinnu..?
Kalindi hesitated..She knew what was going to happen if she told him the truth..
Ka: Well..Ananth..She left a letter for you..
Ananthan stared at his wife as if he was seeing her for the first time..
An: What do you mean by that..?
Kalindi handed him a letter..
He frowned and read it with shivering hands..It read..
" Dear Papa..
I am going to my Amma's village in Kerala..All these years you have never let me meet my Amma..I know that you love me a lot, Papa..You married Kalindi aunty and filled your wife's place..I know that she is nice to me..But she will never fill up the void in my life..
Now that my studies are over, I decided to stay with my Amma for some time- may be one month, one year or many years..I don't know, Papa. I will contact you after I reach there..Please don't worry about me..I will be fine..
