Rajeev Khandelwal, who has graced the cover page of travel magazine, Travel Plus' special edition, launched it at an event in Mumbai

"Travel is exposure and exposure is growth. When you travel to places far and wide, you grow as a person; you grow as a human being. Not only does travel take you
away from the routine, it takes you on a journey of self discovery." Those were the words of actor Rajeev Khandelwal at the unveiling of the India Today Travel Plus Special Issue at the Olive, Mumbai on 23rd July.
To qualify how he had grown with travel, Rajeev elaborated that if he studies his travel pattern he always likes to move away from the obvious, to places not on the tourist map. And to explore beyond the clich, is the underlying factor that has also determined the choices he has made in his career.
The latest cover of Travel Plus was shot in sunny Goa - a place that Rajeev calls his second home - he has a house on quiet hill in North Goa overlooking a river. Though the state of Goa is largely famous for its beaches and shacks, Rajeev is not a beach person, but as he says "The idea was to introduce the other side of Goa - there is much beauty and charm to the state that the visitor might miss." So, largely giving the beaches a miss, Rajeev takes the readers to the quiet corners of the state, through the spice plantations and where its heritage is most vibrant.
To capture the unique side of not just Goa but of all the states and union territories of the country was precisely the idea behind the latest issue of Travel Plus. With 35 curated itineraries, this bumper issue takes the reader on a journey across the country like never before.
India Today Travel Plus Editor Ritu Agarwal introduced the magazine and Rajeev, who spoke of how travel had helped him evolve and influenced his life decisions, on making Goa home and on his recent journey to Ladakh.
