I read few posts questioning Bilal's love and intentions towards Sadaf. Here is my take on the BilSad track so far

During first scene, it was not love at first sight from Bilal's side. He is not in love yet. He was just attracted to a beautiful face in front of him. Look at Bilal's expressions there. He was checking her out in a sleazy way and wahaj conveyed it perfectly. We can call it Lust at the first sight but not love. (Looking at those expressions)

Next scene, he comes to know that she is Mirza saab's daughter and bamm he never gives that kind of expression ever again. It is because of his respect towards Mirza saab.

Next Ammar mentions that he is friends with Mirza saab's daughter. It was by chance that someone mentions Sadaf in front of him and Bilal couldn't stop himself for inquiring more about her. He neither desperately tried to get info about sadaf from sources, nor actively pursued her before this happened. But because someone just mentioned her so he wanted to know more about her (because attraction/interest is there)

Then in next scene, Mirza saab reprimands him for taking his daughter's name while drinking and thereafter his interest piques in knowing more about Sadaf. Because here a father just stopped him from even uttering the name of his daughter.

And hence after this, during his conversation with Humsha, he inquires more about Sadaf. The smile on his face after knowing Sadaf's name is more like how a teenager blushes after getting to know his/her crush's name. There are different stages of falling in love. Here, Bilal is just at the first one (Which is attraction/interest in somebody)

Then comes the piano scene. He was not crying for Sadaf. It was because Mirza saab's words reminded him of being unworthy in love and being inadequate or a wrong man in eyes of any father. He feels he is not good enough to get love from such a girl (Shareef ladki). Sadaf was a reference here (ek izzatdaar ghar ki shareef beti) And not really the love of his life. He feels he only deserves escorts and "aisi waisi" ladkiyan.

Him giving appointment letter for Sadaf in no manner indicates that he wants to actively pursue Sadaf or is madly in love with her. Then he wouldn't have told Mirza saab about not coming face to face with her.

With these 4 episodes they set the stage for Bilal Abdullah to fall in Love. Right now it's stage 1.

P.S. The first time Bilal saw Sadaf should have been a more elaborate scene. The scene was too short and it felt abrupt & incomplete. Hence the audience is not able to make out what Bilal Abdullah actually feels for Sadaf. And therefore the whole arc seems silly.

I would rather use attraction than lust. He might be a womaniser but don't look like someone who will make a woman uncomfortable or try to cross the line without consent. He is with women who are willingly with him mostly because of his money. Neither the women expect anything from him nor he expects anything from them. He isn't using his power or is manipulating these women to be with him. Whatever is happening it's happening between consensual adults.

He is seen more in a negative light for being with women because of the society he is from but outside he is just a regular young rich dude with girls around him and having fun. Nothing harmful. The only harm he does is to himself by over drinking.

So, last 20 pages I flipped through was whether Maya should wear kajal or not. And Hira in her 5 minutes bringing out best chemistry. Why is Hira shoving her hand into pocket while talking formally with colleagues?

Anyways mirza uncle and kiddo part am gonna skim. It’s very sad to watch though that’s the trp puller.

Ruko zara, sabr karo. Sabr ka phal meetha. Wait till bilal meets sadaf and everything is on fire.smiley41

If the writer is following 7 stages of love then Bilal was attracted to Sadaf when he first saw. The woman piqued his interest when she didn't look back which made him attracted to her. It was certainly not lust but attraction

I think we will see Bilal go through all the 7 stages of love. It would be a beautiful journey if handled well.

  • Dilkashi: Attraction
  • Uns: Infatuation
  • Ishq: Love
  • Aqidat: Trust
  • Ibadat: Worship
  • Junoon: Madness
  • Maut: Death

In e1 when he saw her cross the street, it was attraction (Dilkashi). That I get. The thing is Bilal has already now made the transition from Dilkashi to Uns. The piano ka rona dhona, BA being giggly and blushy-blushy after just hearing her name, writing her name in the air -- all of this points to Uns and not Dilkashi. But how, when and why that transition happened is not clear. If they wanted to show he is now moved on to stage 2, I wish we oculd have gotten one more interaction. Right now, the only plausible reason is that because he thinks Mirza is such a morally upright guy, so his daughter must also be this morally upright girl (perfect ladki). Or because Mirza is keeping Sadaf away from BA - she has become this unattainable prize that he cannot access? Is that it though - the reason his feelings went from attraction to infatuation?

I will still use the word Lust for the expressions he gave in the 1st scene. If they didn't want to portray lust, and wanted to portray Attraction then Wahaj acted poorly there. Because those expressions reeked of Lust.

I guess my post in no way pointed that Bilal Abdullah is someone who will force himself on women.

Lust as an emotion is too complicated itself. You can lust a person but still not do anything inappropriate to them. Lusting sadaf doesn't mean Bilal will force himself upon her. People with different moral parameters will deal with Lust accordingly.

He is not a leecher or a MCP. He is good at heart. He is also very mindful and sensitive about people and situations around him.

This makes sense. If it was indeed attraction they wanted to show. Then that scene was written poorly and acted poorly too. It couldn't convey Attraction clearly.

The crying was not for Sadaf but coz of the fact how unworthy Namdar thinks of him for any woman let alone his own daughter.

The fact that he is Mirza Saab's daughter is a big factor, the more he hears about her be it from Namdar or Humsha or Amaar, the more attracted he becomes to the point of infatuation.

To me it was well written and performed as I could sense that he was attracted to her. Even the conversations that have followed after that particular scene pretty much indicate the same that he is attracted to Sadaf. He might lust for other girls but not for Sadaf. I think the difference is pretty clear.
