To be fair to uncle, even if it were an emergency, no one from Shabrez's side reached out to inform and excuse themselves for the day, which is according to his perspective. Meher and fam, very much like that, were left hanging. Other than this, whatever happened with his late sister makes him much more apprehensive with how thing's are unfolding in his daughter's life. NGL, it's exaggerated to say the least.
Shabrez has also not been handling anything well. He miscalculated his moves or rather didn't calculate at all and so there is a situation at hand which is only spiraling wild.
Yes he is right to feel nervous about daughters tho but still they all unprepared and unplanned for everything for real Not just the father or Meher, but Shabrez too. Under normal circumstances, miscommunication arises because of secondary or rival characters, but this time, they willingly create their own problems.
