lovely ending imo overall. I think Faryal's dialogues could've been more hard-hitting. They missed out on her questioning that Murad never truly loved her either. The flashbacks made a lot of sense but a deeper introspection would've been nicer from Faryal's end. I liked the open-endedness of Mehran and Mehru. Noor and Ayaz living their happily ever after!!

I saw a critique of the show that there isn't character growth and the show utilizes a lot of bechari troupes. I think that's why this show was good. It didn't try to be an overarchingly great love story. It was as the title suggests, a qissa. simply a story of the girl who waited and then she didn't.

Do think they pushed Murad over the edge with a lot of what he tried to do. There could've been more subtility in terms of showcasing abuse. Recognition of abuse when it becomes physical shouldn't be the only line after which someone tries to separate from their partner.

The winning point imo is that the show's character promos were brilliant.

A stellar cast, tightly written script, decent production, and a soulful soundtrack make a great watch.

Romantic Reveries

I felt bored after a point of time. Bano's evil in laws didn't learn from the past or the present. It was so dark. And in the end Mehran is still waiting for Bano.

^same thing as the above comment. The abuse was too extensive and long, and like most Pak shows, everything unravelled and all the wrongdoers were punished within 5 minutes and it was over. I wanted Mehran and Mehru to end up together, but I knew it wasn't possible since his mom had still not come around in the 2nd last episode. But I like that they left it open-ended and hopeful making it evident that they will reunite sometime in the future. If nothing else I applaud the makers for bringing marital rape into the limelight through this show. It is such a common problem and it's overlooked so often which is just sad. So I do appreciate them for highlighting how marital rape is just as big of an issue as physical and mental abuse.
