Damn! Afzal still loves her. It was a weird dynamic between them. Afzal often corrected her mistakes even when they crossed limits but somehow at that moment, with the kids getting injured, ulfat not letting tamkinat in their house without thinking about afzal, mistreating her younger naand, all of that really piled up on afzal. and ulfat taking every decision out of spite went out of her way to bother everyone more. It was predictable how she still couldn't manage to get over the resentment of how her life shaped since her first marriage till the end. She realized that she could have continued minding her own business as she did earlier and maybe could've been more patient but she couldn't figure out how she liked and disliked afzal at the same time. I know a lot of people say Ulfat was at fault with that attitude of her and sharp tongue but Afzal was also at fault. Till that point he had always gone out of his way to make things smoother for ulfat after every bad decision she would take but his inability to continue to bear the emotional burden between his wife, his kids and his siblings pushed him down and he gave up. Maybe you guys won't agree but Ulfat didn't give up even when she said she would take divorce whether anyone likes it or not. She was pushing Afzal as she always did except afzal wasn't making things go in the way she wanted nor his siblings wanted. She wasn't thinking at all.
It's a tragic end for both of them. Ulfat consistently misses her son at least and afzal's respect and the position she stepped away from. Afzal still longs for her. Even though his house seemed a lot more calmer, he didn't seem like he was happy with the new wife as he would've wanted himself to be. I feel like if the show wouldn't have resorted to using stereotype of using strong-headed female character into a villian of their own life, it could've stood out. Ulfat started out as a complex character. Her character's portrayl lost those dimensions as around 17-24 episode. Neelum's acting saved the vulnerability of her character.
