MY GOD! This show just keeps getting better and better! What a fantastic episode.

What I simply love about this show is that there's no constant tragedy and constant happiness. Unlike other shows where we have one or two characters as the tyrants who rain hell on the mazloom characters and we have to wait till the last five minutes of the finale episode to see our positive characters happy and settled, here we get moments where our heroes give it back to the villains right on the spot. Last week seeing the precap, I was in agony thinking ke sab syapa hogaya, but the episode itself had me whooping in joy. Uff! MY LADIES!

Sab se pehle tou, YOU GO BUSHRA! I don't like you much but man, I like you heck lotta more than Noor Muhammad! You go and give that man hell. And the best bit? He can't even complain about it because this is the hell he willingly chased like a dog. Hahaha, aen Nikaah ke waqt 50 lac haq meher ki demand? Waah waah! The Molvi didn't see that coming. And the next day, Bushra showed her true colors by easily going against the beloved Aapa of NM. I can't tell you how satisfied I am seeing NM being trapped in his own chosen happiness. With Afia, he married her despite knowing she loved someone else and he even went against his Aapa to marry her. So he can rage at her and being all haakimana with her. But Bushra is a different case entirely. A woman he loves and has yearned for for years, finally his. He can't be her lord now, she has him wrapped around her little finger. Perfect place for NM to hang around with. He thinks he can control every relation around him? No sir, Karma is a bitch.

Wali ko jooo thappad pada! Matlab, I can't express my love for Afia Khatoon and specially Hina Bayat who has just NAILED this lady. The way she is boiling inside but being all calm on the outside but one wrong word and she just SNAPS and all that lava comes rushing out and no one is spared. The way she dragged Wali out of the house to go to his designated place which was being Tehmina's galli ka kutta was EPIC! And the BEST bit was the way she disowned EVERY man from her life.

THIS! THIS! THIS! So much of this! Pura shajra tiyag diya! A woman, daughter of a woman, mother to a woman. She has had enough of being controlled by the men in her life. We have had so many examples of mazloom, bechari aurats who spend 1/3rd of her life fulfilling her father's wishes, 1/3rd obeying her husband, 1/3rd accepting her son's desires. And then there's this woman who THROWS her grown son out of her house because he forgot that being a son is no privilege. Izzat kamani padti hai khwa wo saga beta hi kyun na ho. He blindly followed his father for the sake of getting married to Tehmina and when his father got what he wanted, his Phupho got her revenge, and he himself was left with nothing tou sahab laut ke ghar ko ayen hain. Yeah, too late for you Mister. Ab jaake Tehmina ki galli ki dhool chaato.

And Zulekha. Hayye meri Sherni. The precap bit of her with Imran Mugheez was definitely of their so called "suhaag raat". Shukar, Imran has some bheja in his khopdi. Was it just me or did he look guilty/ashamed when Daaji found Yousuf in a half dead state? Khair jo bhi, this guy hasn't dropped down to the hatred level for me. He only wanted things to happen simply and straightly. But what he got was this roller coaster which was too much for him. So now I guess he is trying to do right in his own way. Aapa wants Imran and Zulekha to be a rehash of Noor Muhammad and Afia but while Zulekha is Afia's daughter, Imran Mugheez thankfully is just Noor Muhammad's nephew. While he is in control of his mother, his feelings for Zulekha seem genuine and he has respect for that. That's why he didn't drop to the level of an no-brain animal at least.

Zulekha giving Tehmina and her phupho a wild reality check was awesome. Specially to Tehmina. Badi ayi. Z knows and they know that Z knows that she can't be bound in chains forever. Ek din tou taala khulega and when it does, she won't sit back silently. Hashar nashar kardegi. Speaking of which, WHAT THE EFF IS AAPA'S EVIL BRAIN MADE OF?! Did she really bring Z to her home so that Imran can claim her as his wife and then throw her out of the house? Allah Allah, zulm bhi aisa jaahilana and wehshi? Shukar Z was saved because seriously, her ultimate goal isn't to unite with Yousuf. Neither is she any longer scared of the "Log kya kahenge? Badnaam hojaoungi.." type of thoughts. She has gone through so much that such thoughts just don't bother her anymore. Man, I just want her to be happy.

AND YOUSUF! Allah! Gundon ki maar ne aisa na tarpaya hoga jaisa Daaji ki harkat ne. He doesn't know that Daaji is the reason Z is gone, all he knows is that Daaji didn't support him in saving her. And that alone has him fuming in anger seeing Daaji's face. Kahin jo pata chala ke Daaji made Z leave...Yousuf will break, seriously. I know Daaji's heart was in the right place and he hated himself the moment he called Noor Muhammad but what Daaji and even Wajeeh Ahmed fail to understand is that it's not Z going away which has Yousuf be this much in pain. That is part of the reason but what kills him inside is that Zulekha came to him for help. She came there with the thought that Yousuf bacha lega. She has rejected him so many times but she trusts him enough to come to him at the time of her greatest crisis. He gets happy when Z asks him to turn right. Usska deewanapann is at another level altogether, pakka shairon wala pyaar hai. Daaji and Wajeeh Ahmed type logical people can't understand Yousuf clearly.

And Madiha annoys me now. Buss. Pitiful martyr. Hmph! Khud bola NM ko ke Zulekha ko le jao, then she cries to Z's sister, "Usse bacha lo." Behen, aap tou rehne hi do! :@

When Hajra comes and informs Afia that Z is taken away by Imran Mugheez, Afia like a reflex reaction gets up to leave and Hajra asks her what possibly could she do now and Afia just deflates and sits back hopelessly...brilliant moment! My heart sank at that. But even so, Afia got out in the middle of the night to go see her daughter. Yaar, the portrayal of ladies and special this lady as a mother is one of the finest things I've seen on tv lately! Seriously! It took a man to write strong women while all our female writers are writing mazloom aurats ek ke baad ek! You go Khalil ur Rehman Qamar! Such a well written critique.
While I agree with most of it,I don't think Madiha was part of the plan to call NM.
i find her the most conflicted of all the characters in this story.
She is walking such a fine line and kudos to the actress portraying her.
With Yousuf's stepmom doing the weird ,har larki doctor hoti hai spiel and Yousuf with his Zulekha chant,for the first time ,I felt sorry for her.
She is as deewana for Yousuf as he is for Zulekha and she is neither the stereotypical selfsacrificing nor the typical jealous lover.
While I instinctively dislike her,I also think she is one of the more interesting female characters to be seen on small screen.
