Isn't it too late?
I also don't know how to record on youtube, how to record on karaoke, etc. etc.
If it's not too late, please sign me up too. Will try to figure out recording, etc.
perfect! Done! And not to worry, we’ll be posting a tutorial so you won’t have any trouble and if you do, we will accept any recording you’re able to manage as long as it’s clear. And there won’t be any karaoke recording I thinkOriginally posted by: Padmajaan

Nope, you are on time
As Riya mentioned, YouTube is not mandatory, you can record on any site, like Vocaro, & share links.
Waiting for your melodious songs

Check the next post for instructions on how to upload on YT but note that we're accepting recordings on any platform as long as they're audible.
How to send your entries – Tutorial
Step 1. Record your song
You can use any app or platform to record your song.
You can use voice recorder/voice memos app on your phone, or record it on your laptop.
Alternatively, you can also record your song on a website like vocaroo or reverb.
Next, let’s address how to upload your entries to Youtube.
If you are not comfortable with Youtube, you can simply send your audio to Koeli.
Step 2. Create YT channel (this is a one-time thing)
We understand that participants may not want to share about their VoIF participation outside IF.
Hence the following steps ensure that a separate YT channel is created for submission of VoIF entries.
1. Sign in to YouTube: Use your Google account to sign in to YouTube.
2. Go to Settings: Once you're signed in, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings".
4. Select "Create a new channel": Under "Your YouTube channel", find the option that says "Create a new channel" and click on it.
5. Fill in the Channel Name: You'll be prompted to fill in the channel name for your new YouTube channel. Name the channel as "VoIF 2024", click on the checkbox below and then click “Create”.
That's it! You've successfully created another channel within the same YouTube account.
You can switch between channels by clicking on your profile picture and selecting "Switch account”.
Once you set up your channel, you won’t have to set it up again and again for uploading songs.
Step 3. Convert to MP4
YouTube allows one of the video file formats to be uploaded, so your audio needs to be changed into MP4.
1. Go to https://www.freeconvert.com/mp4-converter
2. Hover your mouse on "Choose files" and click on the appropriate option (like "From your device" if your audio file is saved in your device).
3. Click on "Upload" and then click on "Convert".
4. After conversion, download the mp4 file generated in the end and save the converted file.
Step 4. Upload
1. Go to your "VoIF 2024" YT channel.
2. Click on "Create" and then click on "Upload videos”.
3. Click on "Select files" and choose the mp4 file of your song (i.e. the file that was generated after converting your audio).
4. Select "Yes, it's made for kids" (this is a mandatory check on YouTube) and then click "Next" thrice.
5. Now you have reached the "Visibility" tab. Select "Unlisted" and click on "Save”.
(“Unlisted" means that your video will not appear in search results or on your channel to other people, but anyone with the video link can view it.)
6. Copy the video link from the "Video published" dialogue box by clicking on the rectangles on the right side of the link.
7. PM this YouTube link to Koeli to submit your entry for the round.
Remember, once you set up your YT channel, you won’t have to set it up again and again for uploading songs. Only record, convert, upload and send.
If you encounter difficulty in following any of the steps, do not hesitate to PM.
Otherwise, you can simply record and send your entry if you feel YT too complicated.
Happy Singing! ✨
I have a query .
An example … if it’s the debut movie of R. Kapoor , is any song from that movie allowed ? …Or do we have to sing the song only R. Kapoor sings in the movie ?
