So-So, I noticed that your book in the fan fiction section has hashtags that begin with the # symbol, while my book has the same hashtags without the # symbol. That makes it impossible to find both entries in this contest under any one hashtag.

I believe that hashtags without the # symbol are standard on India Forums, but could the organizers please decide?

Hi So-So, why did you unpublish your poem. Please post it on FF section and send us the link.

from childhood, this is the slogan

“তোমরা আমাকে রক্ত দাও, আমি তোমাদের স্বাধীনতা দেব ।”

we used to read n memorize,

he had a larger-than-life, the word will be less to say anything...

these three r favs of mine

"One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives."

"Remember, the biggest crime is to tolerate injustice and compromise with the wrong."

"Soldiers who are always loyal to their nation, who are always ready to sacrifice their lives, are invincible."

Until I wrote a poem on Netaji myself, and read So-So's now-deleted poem, my experience was limited to Shashi Tharoor's verses satirizing Netaji's death (in the role of Pāṇḍu from Mahābhārata) in The Great Indian Novel.

Come on, writers! Your voices can bring me back from the dark side.

Come on, writers! Your voices can bring me back from the dark side.

Yesterday I met the great grandson of Shri Sardarsinhji Rana, one of the masterminds behind the escape of Netaji to Europe and the Radio talk in German. Lemme assure you, these people have made immense contributions but they get sidelined and shown in dark light to simply glorify the "non-violent" movement.

Today I met another family member of a Freedom Fighter who in his early twenties saved Sardar Patel by being a human sheild when a group of 20-30 attackers attacked him with swords, axes and knives.

I was remembering the lines "shaheedon ki mazaron pe lagenge har baras mele, watan par mitne walon ka baki yahin nishaan hoga" and wondering people don't even know their names, let alone their achievements and sacrifices. Their children and grandchildren ask, why after all these years..but gladly share the information. Been a super enriching experience.

Looking in to say, this is one of the themes in the book Ami Subhash Bolchhi. I so wish they'd make a webseriwmes out of it: it's non fiction, but the truth in that book is stronger, more interesting and more thrilling than fiction.
