It is important to take their accounts into consideration and accord them the respect they should have gotten long back in history.

Yes, it is important to reconcile views because as a common man, everyone lost more than gained in this brutal scenario 😔
The colonialists / imperialists / occupiers have left such scars on every community that they have imposed themselves on. Today we continue to witness the atrocities of occupying forces throughout the world, from Afghanistan to Palestine, from Western Sahara to Syria and Yemen. For as long as we see ourselves as superior to everyone else, this will continue. Only when man recognizes the worth of his brother will this stop.
