Yes, ditto on the facts u mentioned 😊and to add a few things...I do not wish to comment on Ruqaiyya or any other begum (it seems there's some very strong biases in this forum in favor of other Begums of Akbar 😊) , but just to add this from an un-biased view, we should not forget that Jehangir-nama is something which Jehangir wrote...and he did not have a honey-sweet relation with his Father or his Mother as I already mentioned here earlier...so quite possible for him to vent his grudges in form of writing off his father as a despicable one and mentioning his Mother in an unattached way....And anyways, he was an infant or a wee kid when his brothers and sisters were born, so it was impossible for him to Actually Monitor who gave birth to whom.πŸ˜† He collected info from other ppl only later ...

Based on giving just a son does not entitle a Begum to be famous in history (As there were other sons too but they were not declared the heir at such a tender age or forgiven for so many rebellions)...So whatever the views and rumors be, Heera K./ MUZ aka our Jodha DID hold special place in Akbar's life and that place retains it's prestige even today (All her paintings indicate and records mention her an extremely glamorous Queen)...U see history recorded in that age can be erroneous but cannot be completely baseless , atleast in cases where 2 such powerful royalties were involved (Mughals & Rajputs)

(I have accessed some records authenticated by Govt of India as well as of Pakistan , hence am confident on this ground πŸ˜ƒ)

But Jehangir was quiet honest for an emperor in his diary
He said he rebelled against father- this was not mentioned in akbarnama, so if he had not written we would not know he had rebelled.akbarnama does not mention him after childhood till his thirty's
He does not speak ill of his brothers/sisters (which aurangzeb did- in his autobiography his father, brothers, sisters all are very bad only he is good). He only points to all their good points and weakness including his own,
He talks of his errors he made like ordering someone's killing, drinking problems, even influence of Nur Jahan. He says "he sold empire to Nur Jahan for a glass of wine and two pieces meat". He says emperor is always lonely cannot trust even his family they stick to him because of his power.
In one place he says "If humans had 10% of honesty compared to animals the world would be better and his work would reduce"
He speaks of his father-in-laws theft and his brother-in-laws betrayal etc how he cannot forgive them
He never speak one word against his father-mother in autobiography and almost praises them to God status.
That historians are assuming this would have happened by noting recordings of letters from travellers, ambassdors written in those times.

That is also mentioned in jehangirnama why he hate Abul Fazl?
Jehangir seems to be hating this man from childhood. Because many time he speak agianst salim and advice akbar to take action to control him. Abul Fazl only told Akbar that to make Salim serious as he was naughty to send to battle at age of 7. Jehangir's first battle was Haldighatti at age of 7. So may be salim felt why this guy coming between father-son? πŸ˜† but killing that was heights i guess as a prince you never fear anyone not even emperor or justice 😲 Salim remained childlike neverr grew up all life because he never had a childhood may be.
But when you become emperor suddenly all your family is equal in front of law πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
Its like when father is emperor no rule applies to you as his son but you become emperor you act even more strict with your kids like blinding khusrau and making shah jahan an traitor (Jehangir declared he is not his son in court) πŸ˜•
The below paragraph sums up Jehangir so nicely
Emperor Nuruddin Jehangir, the fourth crowned Mughal of India was a remarkable character from a human point of view. He was a man of lofty contradictions and a prince who refused to be anything other than his human self - staying true to his evils and his virtues in a remarkable manner. In the process he missed many lessons that he could have learnt from life. It could be said that he failed to grow up but there is something in his imperfection that evoked empathy, and it is probably more than a coincidence that no other Muslim king of India has triggered the imagination of so many poets, folk artists and dramatists as Jehangir has.
Psychologists and management guru's can do rims of research yet not understand this Jehangir i feel he is so complex

One thing that does not make sense Jhangir writes that his father and mother had not been little bit pre cautious , his sibling would have survived. Does that mean Akbar and Jodha had children that died in infancy?
