they might even show it in the serial, who knows jodha might give her first born to ruq since she has the mc, and jodha never wanted power, therefore ruq might have the power and the joy of raising akbar's child!
If it happens in serial
Whether Akbar orders Salim to be given to Ruqu
Whether Ruqu demanded Salim to herself
OR Hira Kunwari gave her child to Ruqu on her own
it will not be fine

Yes even emperor's like Jehangir feel happy that someone came to wish them on their birthday. It is on birthday's you forget you are an emperor someone else is beggar etc and accept any gift others give them. Just the fact that some one cares so much as to make an effort to come and wish you on your special day although he would have no benefit from doing so makes the person happy whether an emperor or common man. I guess birthday's are very special to every human.

It seems to me like Ruqaiya seems grey woman. Did not see ever think of bringing Hira and her son closer? Poor Hira, she never got to raise her son. I want to know what was the real relatiinship between Akbar and Jodha was like. Did she really hate him? 🤔

She never ever hated him, but it wasn't an intense, passionate or eternal Love story the way Film loves to portray.
It was just a political marriage of convenience but which stayed that way. The only novelty was that no other Emperor had given his wife that kind of leeway culturally, the way Akbar gave her. But Akbar was very intelligent & extremely sharp, like a tack! He knew that you cannot rule over the Rajputs in every domain , if you give people freedom they're more likely to follow you than someone whose freedom has been snatched away since every human being has a great thirst for freedom in their soul. 😊

So he participated in all Hindu festivals etc since he was extremely tolerant esp for the times esp for being a Mughal Emperor. This led to a lot of censure & anger amongst the Court Maulvis & one of the reasons why Jehangir was stoked like a fire to rebel against his own beloved father.

But he was Emperor. The ridicule & anger could only expressed to a very little degree.

I read in a no of books that Akbar was short in height, very wirey by body & looked remarkably Mongolian instead of Indian. Very fair! With small, slanting eyes. Was inordinately fond of hunting (as we all know 😆) and loved Diwali. He loved to see the fireworks across the sky 😊 And used to commission the best , months before the festival. The entire fort used to be lit up & everyone participated with great fan-fare.

Everybody is grey, why only Ruqaiyya. 😆
Ruqaiyya they say was very intelligent, very educated & very sharp. She was the Padshaah Begum till her death even when NoorJehan was Empress. Jehangir's respected his father & loved her too much to make his beloved the chief Empress while the former was alive! So she was so till her death.

Akbar used to consult her in all matters, not only for her wisdom but because she knew Akbar like no-one else , something they show to a large extent in the serial too. Akbar in turn, loved her & then Salima the most, he could never ever refuse Ruqaiiya anything. She wanted the Rajput Princesse's Odin as her own, she got him. Khurram. They say that this princess & Ruqaiiya Begum never saw eye to eye & this act of Ruq's was also splendid revenge on her part. She was said to be psychologically quite cruel & in time grew so possessive of the little boy, that she had taken to monitoring his visits with his own mother! 😲

So Khurram never had any bonding with his birth mother & called only Ruqaiyya, "Maa".

Yes everyone is grey, but am finding Ruqu to be a little bit selfish when it came to Khurram. If she was that possesive with Khurram, I would not be surprised if she kept Hira away from her own son. Jhangir is such a conflicting personality. By taking children of Jhangir did Akbar realize how much damage he had done. Damn, Mughals family releationship where such a mess. No doubt, Akbar loved Ruqaiya, but the legends of Jodha and Akbar stories run so deep that it looks like Ruqu and Jalal story of their releationship got buried in the dust of history books. I believe in karma, and maybe there is a reason for this happening. I read some where that Jalal had met Jodha before their nuputial and was besotted with her. I read that it was written in some literary sources.

Yes he might have, she was actually an unusual Rajput princess & very beautiful! Very fair, large deer eyes, pink lips.. Her eyes they say conveyed a lot. And she as educated & a very good swords-woman. Akbar liked unusual women , women who he could converse with & take their opinions. So no wonder he apparently took a shine to Jodha.. It would've difficult not to.

Really? Where did u get this from? I wish I could read what she was like more. I only have read from few sources she gave Akbar a sense of belonging . I have read only the legends about their story. Wish someone had written a biography on Ruqu and her. I know Mughal women were not supposed to show their jealousy openly, but my gut tells me Ruqu was jealous of Jodha.don't know, but this feeling kicks in...the show has no influence on my thinking, and I would not be surprised because it's a feeling everyone feels once in a while. Same might not have beem for Jodha. Maybe, she did not like the amount of power Ruqu had over Akbar.
