Congratulations to LSG for their emphatic victory, which they badly needed! smiley10

Not at all the season Mumbai would've hoped for after their bold and hotly debated captaincy shuffle. They finish right at the bottom of the table and it's the second time that's happened in three years now.

Congratulations to LSG for winning the match.smiley32

Congratulations to Nicholas Pooran for winning the PoTM award.smiley32

In LSG's 7 wins, Pooran hit highest 6s 4 times.

Mayank Yadav, Marcus Stoinis and Pooran are a good combination for LSG. They should retain them for next 3 years.

Cheers..

Details for today's Match: RCB vs CSK

There was barely a flicker of expectation for Royal Challengers Bengaluru!!

The IPL has always loved such cinematic narratives. Even if the reality - the head-to-head records, matchups, forecast - make for prosaic reading, that it's CSK clustering together with RCB for the one remaining playoffs spot makes for persuasive packaging. Throw in Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik and the notion of a 'last dance' for added gravitas on the penultimate day of a 70-game league phase.

Dube made his name exactly like hardik. Smashing 30+ runs in a SMA trophy match. A power hitter who can bowl. But Dube was pathetic in bowling . Infact he got smashed for 30+ runs in an over vs NZ in 2020 I think. smiley37 Hardik was more consistent and he was kinda unindianesque. Like you won't find a bowling talent and power hitter like him. Ashish Nehra end years and Pandya starting was same in 2016. He called hardik Caribbean From Baroda because of his physical strength and stamina.

But he was very injury prone. Will get injured in random things. People started searching for his replacement.

So many were tried. Dube, venky, chahar, Shardul. None of them had what he has. Everybody had a strong skill. Pandya both skills were strong.

That's why Agarkar said there is no replacement.

The latest name to make waves is NKR and Arshad. But NKR is batting heavy and Arshad is bowling heavy.

Barring sky other 2 shouldn't have been selected. But......

To add to this, Sky also isn't in good form but he is on top in ICC rankings. Should make it team vs minnows based on it but for 2nd round it should be totally based on how he performs vs Pakis.

I just watched one of those Cricinfo segments, w/ McClenaghan and Varun Aaron being interviewed, & they were asked their predictions for the RCB vs CSK match. Mitch predicted that CSK would win w/o a ball being bowled smiley15. More seriously, he predicted that if it was a truncated game, like 10 or 5 overs, then RCB had a big edge, but that if it was a full 20 over game, that CSK was more likely

So if one is an RCB fan, the best thing to hope for is just enough rain before the game to forcibly shorten the match, but not enough to completely wash it out. Of course, they could take their chances w/ a full game. But toss is key, and going by the record, Faf is far likelier to win it than Rutu
