Lucknow openers need to step up!

KL Rahul hasn't been in the best of form and it's not only cost him a place in India's T20 squad but also left LSG at the seventh spot with 12 points with RCB and DC, who are fifth and sixth respectively. Five days is a lot of time to introspect and Rahul and Co. will look to come out all guns blazing when they face DC, who are also on 12 points and are coming into the match after a loss against RCB on Sunday night. Besides Rahul, Quinton De Kock's poor form this season has left LSG struggling in the powerplay, putting pressure on the likes of Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran, who haven't got the freedom to unleash their big shots. Although Pooran and Ayush Badoni managed to rescue the team in the last match, the bowlers failed miserably against the formidable SRH pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, who racked up 167 in 9.4 overs, a T20I record by any team.

is pant n Warner available in dis match ?

Who is the Manavi_Kesari I tagged in post 4?🤔

Warner wasn't playing well. Most of the times he was in the substitute players list but the captain hardly subbed him.

Pant was banned for a match. So, he should play today.

Cheers..

No tensions in LSG camp---

There were a lot of speculations about KL Rahul's future as LSG skipper after his "public reprimand" by team owner Sanjiv Goenka following their 10-wicket hammering by Sunrisers Hyderabad last Wednesday. But on Tuesday, both posted pics, hugging each other.

Sanjiv Goenka hosts captain KL Rahul for dinner - pic goes viral

Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka hosted captain KL Rahul for dinner on Monday night, according to sources. A picture from the event, where Goenka is hugging Rahul, has gone viral on social media.

Lucknow Super Giants are back in action after the annihilation in Hyderabad last Wednesday. How does any team recover from such a hammering? Head and Abhishek massacred the bowling attack and chased down 167 in 9.4 overs. They have had almost a week to get over that game and hopefully it has helped because they're still in the playoff race. The Super Giants' season has been inconsistent because their bowlers have had an up and down time; KL Rahul, Stoinis and Pooran have been amongst the runs but not on a consistent basis, the bowling too lacked penetration and ideas when the SRH openers were going hammer and tongs. They need to show up today because it is a must-win game and a loss will mean their playoff hopes is all but over.

How much did Delhi Capitals miss Rishabh Pant in their previous game? It was a crunch game and the Capitals needed their skipper but he was suspended due to breaching the over-rate multiple times this season and that loss to RCB has put their season in jeopardy. There is still a miniscule chance of them qualifying for the playoffs and for that they have to first win this game by a good margin and hope other results go their way. Pant will be back and that will certainly give them a boost. They are playing at home and have won 3 of their 4 games. Also this is their final league game and would like to finish on a high in front of their home fans. Lots of reasons for the Capitals to win today. Can they? The pitch report coming up followed by toss and team news.. Stay tuned

We are one week away from the start of the playoffs and while the top-two are all but confirmed, the next two spots are open and Lucknow Super Giants are vying for one of them. They are slightly behind Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings but can finish with 16 points, and hence, have a much higher chance of progressing than their opponents tonight - Delhi Capitals, whose loss against RCB has all but put them out of contention

Pitch and Conditions: "It is a small and high-scoring ground. To the one side 60 meters and slightly bigger 66 meters on the other. There is a bit of breeze as well blowing across the ground. This pitch no. 6 and it is a high-scoring pitch. The length ball flies out of the ground. The average score is over 250 runs. But we have to see since it is reused will it be the same," questions Graeme Swann. There's a bit of sheen and it is more of the same. Batting first has helped over here," concludes Murali Kartik.
