Greetings everyone! How's your weeking rolling folks? The dash for the playoffs might be over for Mumbai but Hardik Pandya has stressed that they'll give it their all for their fans and their pride. Looking back, things haven't quite worked out for the five-time champions. They made a big trade, they switched captains but unfortunately something in the formula went awry as they're now left with just a couple of games before they can sit down, look back and see what they want to do next time around. As for KKR, they're at the other end of the spectrum. A win tonight will mean that they'll become the first team to officially qualify for the playoffs and in addition, it'll also likely mean they'll finish in the top 2. Sunil Narine is having a season of a lifetime and they've had vital contributions all around right when they needed them. They've shown faith in different players and they've come good when their side was in strife. Although this game holds lesser significance in the grand scheme of the playoffs, it should be an exciting one. Stick around, toss and teams coming your way shortly.

6:30pm Kolkata Knight Riders couldn't have been placed better ahead of their final home game of the season - one more win will almost certainly assure them of a top-two finish and they're facing Mumbai Indians, a side out of the playoffs race and playing for pride. And yet, a surprisingly relevant question for the fans would be what's you favourite weather-based song? And if it's along the lines of Rimjhim gire sawan, you're in luck because it's been raining proper for most of the gloomy Kolkata day. The big questions are - will we get a full game? If we get a game at all, how long will it be? The answers will reveal themselves as the evening progresses, so settle in, and thanks for joining by the way. How's your day been going and what're you looking forward to?

The covers are firmly on. The stands are mostly empty sadly. Looks all but certain that the toss won't happen as per schedule.

18:50 Local Time, 13:20 GMT, 18:50 IST: The white sheets are on at the Eden Gardens as it's been raining. Toss will be delayed. In case you don't know, the good thing here is they cover the entire ground in Kolkata like they do in Sri Lanka

The covers are firmly on. The stands are mostly empty sadly. Looks all but certain that the toss won't happen as per schedule. Generally, there's an hour spare before which overs get lost. Hopefully, rain's done for the day and the weather improves. But for now, it's official - Toss has been delayed.

Gummalla: "Always a bittersweet feeling when teams are out of the playoffs race, but MI has nothing to lose. Might see some fearless cricket today!"

Drainage system better at Eden than most ground at Bangladesh & zimbabwe.

Both teams should be okay with one point if it rains full time. Only the stadium audience will feel bad I guess.

The rain is still pretty persistent. Meanwhile the players from both sides chilling in the dressing rooms. SKY is in KKR's dressing room and he has his arm around one of the players as he is chatting away with Venky Iyer, Shreyas Iyer in the presence of coach Chandrakant Pandit
