The previous year's finalists have already progressed to the playoffs and the third spot hasn't been sealed yet. RCB, currently placed third, have an opportunity to clinch it tonight. They are up against the defending champions whom they have never beaten in three attempts. They come into this match on the back of an agonising 1-run loss at the hands of Delhi. Have they recovered from that? Even if they don't win, they are highly likely to progress as they have a superior NRR of +0.027 (UPW's: -0.371 & GG's: -0.873). Smriti Mandhana and Co., who have now lost two in a row, will be keen to get back to winning ways. This is a crucial game for their opponents as well. A MI win will take them to the top of the table and they'll remain there if DC lose to GG tomorrow. Can they win three in a row? When these two sides faced off against each other earlier in the tournament at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Mumbai registered a convincing win. What's in store today?

Krishna: "If RCB win today - will it be RCB vs MI in eliminator?" -- Most likely. But then again, if the Capitals also lose tomorrow, and do so by a big enough margin for their NRR to fall below that of MI, then DC will play the Eliminator against RCB. The only certainty, at the moment, is that one of the Giants, the Warriorz or RCB will be in the Eliminator...
