The title of the topic is Debate Of The Month. Perhaps that has hindered people's participation. I am hugely surprised actually; because I had thought Sima's genuine heart had found a gem as the topic. A subject to discuss freely, openly, understanding different perspectives, getting different paradigms! Mental development/ life progress does not happen through the winning of debate or one person winning over another. Rather, it happens from getting multidimensional understanding of each topic.
Sima, in my understanding this is not just a debate topic to be restricted for a month; rather it's a continuous quest of The Truth...... It's Meemansa of Life!
As I mentioned in my earlier post as well; this topic holds mirror images as opposing statements. Rather it perfectly reflects the eternal conflict between Jeevam and Shivam. Soordas in his beautiful poem Prabhu mere Avgun chit na dharo states this conflict so very beautifully.
Ek Jiv Ek Brahma Kahaave....... Sur Shyaam Jhagaro!
As a Jiv, one is always held by the AdiMaya...... keeping our minuscule life engaged in the world around...... Because that's how life propagates...... if every jiv united with Shiva without going through these life processes, life would not propagate further. To illustrate my point, Take Adi Shankaracharya, Take Swami Vivekananda, Take Sant Dnyaneshwar, Take Siddharth becoming Goutam Buddha!......
The most divine purpose of Maya is to perpetuate life. That's the reason why this instinct was instilled in every living being, animals and humans much before societies formally existed as Shruti mentioned in her post.
My salutation to MahaMaya and her divine purpose. I exist in this world because of that. I am the outcome of eternal love that forms the basis of life!
I was quite impressed by Yadnyawalka's portrayal of life in Brihannaradiya Purana. The point that he is explaining is the same principle that Krishna followed in his life with his Radha and his solah sahastra ashtabharyas....... Rather not just ashta, because Tulsi Vivah is the festival when Krishna's marriage with Tulsi is celebrated...... A much deeper meaning in that festivity, too!
