Disappointing Imlie

An ITV show is successful only when the FL character is strong.

What I liked about Imlie 3 FL was that she was bold, didn't shy away from anything, very sorted woman. She could fight for her own rights. After her marriage these character traits about her impressed me. She didn't change, never got scared to speak her own mind in front of anybody. I also loved the fact that she gave Agastya a hard time to return to Chaudhury house. Then the downfall started. All she is reduced to now is get accused, cry, accept apology, get happy & hopes and then again continue the same cycle. That self respecting Imlie has vanished into thin air. She has got the new fetish of being bechari & want to impress those who hurt her self respect again & again. What's the point.

Arre Imlie wake up from your dreams, work hard to fulfill your aims in life. Want the strong Imlie back again. as an ITV show is successful only when the FL character is strong.

While I'm more disappointed in Gattu's cycle of demanding to know what he can't figure out ... getting fooled by men whom he mistakes for his friends ... deliberate cruelty to Imlie^3 sprinkled with foul-mouthed name-calling ... admitting his mistake and crawling into Imlie^3's lap ...

Imlie^3 needs money for a good reason, and she shouldn't be ashamed to take it when she's already doing the work for it.

After watching today's episode, It looks like Imlie did not feel as bad as we felt for her. When Chutki said that she will ask Agastya to say sorry to her, Imlie was like - He will say sorry but in my way. So she made him dig and made him realize that he was wrong in judging her.

And today's conversation regarding the contract marriage was also very good. Both Agastya and Imlie put their conditions to each other. Somewhere I feel that Imlie has fallen for Agastya and treats him as her husband even when she knows that this relationship is not for keeps and the relationship is going to end in a month. That is why she is not walking off on Agastya. I think when Ashu pe baath aayegi she will walk off if she feels that Chaudary family might snatch Ashu. That is because she is mother of Ashu and mother will always win over the wife in her.

I guess we should not see the characters through lens of one episode only but rather as a cumulative growth in them and the reason why they are doing something. Had Imlie not heard what Dadi was saying in the morning and then seen Agastya breaking down, then Imlie would have been tremendously hurt when the family accused her when bangles were lost. But Imlie heard everything Dadi was saying and understood how Agastya was hurt and the family was blaming him so she did not feel that bad. She instead teamed up with Sonali and Chutki to make Agastya sweat out and realize that he was wrong in judging him. Usko ache se bewakoof banaya.
