Few things I'm grateful for in this show which is an aberration from Gul standard shows:
1. Agastya has legitimate reasons for his misunderstanding. Agar Imlie samne se aake baar baar paise maangegi toh he will think she's a gold digger only na. She agrees to marry for contract, came back home for money, went back to work in the shady bar despite getting money from Agastya. They started off on the wrong foot because Imlie lied to him for the job and continuously lied to him. Some shows don't have a legitimate reason for showing the male lead hate the female lead. Yes he is right in thinking that way however on several occasions Imlie has pointed out that just like he has majboori etc so does she. She found out what his was and a little about his past however he has not once asked about herself and her reasons for doing what she does and why she lied/agreed to the contract marriage. ASC is your typical bloke! He is also a complete stubborn mule and just won’t budge on his perception whereas Imlie who is just as stubborn does show a softer side so for me ASC needs to ask questions and not just assume. Assumptions are not legitimate.
2. I'm glad there's no physical abuse. Agastya isn't manhandling her. As a Gul show veteran, I've seen how bad the male leads can get. Agree but he often grabs her by the hands/arms etc angrily.
3. Glad there's no third angle, bigamy track. I shudder to think how bad it could have been. Agastya despite everything only has eyes for his contract wife. Totally agree.
4. The more Agastya misunderstands her and calls her names (wish they tone it down), the more he will grovel for her forgiveness. Imlie isn't an abla naari who will forgive him so easily. And so she shouldn’t! The fact she isn’t I think he loves as she’s a challenge for him and he loves a challenge heh.
The aesthetics in the show are so good. Loved the scene where Imlie held his arms and was so happy when the fireworks were happening. Loved again her walking scene and then the fall catch scene between Agastya and Imlie was so aesthetically shot. She looked adorable when holding onto him🥰 actually adorable throughout.
Sai is looking so handsome, Each episode he looks handsomer♥️ - is that a word🤔
meri nazar hi nai hat rahi yaar. Also loving the songs being played on them, the original sound track and the retro songs too. He was so happily staring at his wife. Dono bahut phisal rahe hai despite the misunderstanding and the contract looming over their head. Ah but there is no contract is there, just a marriage certificate….
The plot is moving fast. Imlie got to know Amrit burned down Agastya ka office. Loved to see Sonali come to protect her. I don't think her words will be trusted. Agastya babu ki pariksha hai in the coming days where he will be asked to trust Imlie over his jeeja. There's no proof, there's still all types of misunderstanding but will be trust her? The show is super interesting, glad Gul took over the writing despite the weak screenplay at places. Just want the trp to come and Sai to get a lot of success.
Word Count: 1
I wish there was a word called handsomer 🤪because Sai was that today … his eyes
Ok now googled for handsomer .. looks like more handsome or handsomer is grammatically correct 😂
Google can be wrong sometimes and I have no clue
@Ren can you help pls ??

He has always had a slight hope she's not like his mother. Even during the proposal of contract shaadi when she initially refused he was kind of relieved. He is super conflicted because he wants to believe her but the situations don't permit him to.
Actually he did ask her about the majboori very clearly in the episode after the chase of goons and when he took care of her and they returned home.
He told her to tell her kya hua hai but she lied and told him she needed money in exchange of him putting her life in danger. That's when things took turn for the worst. See I agree that he does take things to an extreme but tell me how else is he supposed to react. This is exactly what he has been hearing for his own mother in that house and Imlie exactly fits the bill.
When it comes to reasons, sabko apne apne reasons/excuses sahi lagte hai. Didn't Imlie assume that he is marrying for his own selfish reasons and to snatch the business from his real sister etc. She didn't know the pain and backstory either. Toh jab usse bhi patha chalega he will be extremely remorseful.
Jahan tak holding hand, arm, grabbing ka matter hai, it's not that bad. Imlie also does push him here and there and she slapped him too (aage aur bhi ayenge). Like Chachi said today it's toofani ishq. I don't know if you've seen Gul ke previous shows, this isn't ten percent of what was normalized then.

I'm not sure but bindaas bolo jo bolna hai as long as Sai ki tareef ho rahi hai.
Galat bologi toh bhi kya hua. Language is used as a mode to communicate. As long as the message is passed effectively, mission is successful.
Sai is indeed looking very handsome (handsomer ) with every passing episode. Even with the kind of costumes that are given to him.
But I would really like to appreciate his acting here. He has improved a lot in the last 2 years. The subtle switch in expressions, emoting through his eyes are done so well . We can actually see and feel Agasthya’s sorrow, anger, possessiveness, affection.
Glad to see him learn and grow with the right guidance.

I always say he'll look good even in a potato sack. Some people have that charm.
Yes it's a treat to watch Sai perform so well. I think the layers and shades here are better than his previous characters so he has a lot of scope the way the scenes are written. And experience brings improvement too.
Also, the director also makes a huge difference to an actor. Aashish is brilliant for sure (Gul is known for her technical team mereko sabke naam patha hai ten yrs after the shows have ended). Uske previous show main only one director was good, uske baad it all went downhill. A good technical team is required to deliver good eye pleasing content.

Yes you are right he has asked her. It’s not about scoring points though. At the end of the day however minor its all a form of physical abuse and then there’s the verbal abuse too. We are seeing it all repeatedly and by several characters now. How lovely would it be for the narrative to change that this kind of behaviour is not the norm. As this is an AT I’m not going to dwell on it but any form of physical abuse minor or major is not on. Make it a featured storyline, deal with it sensitively with an outcome but to show it repeatedly for me is not ok.

Handsomer, we are using this now for him everyday right lol even if he comes dressed in a bin bag or remember when he was covered in all those leaves/twigs etc searching for herbs, I think he will still look amazing😂.
He was really good back then hence I was hooked but yeah improved massively I agree. You could see that straightaway when the show started. I hope he is on here for some time and then it will be exciting to see what next for him☺️.

Yes I'm not keeping tabs on this as well and I had almost forgotten that Agastya did ask her about it. They have written his character in a way that shows he has his reasons. Ofcourse for a story to progress there needs to be one person (always the male lead) who will have a misunderstanding about the female lead (who is always right and pious) and then your redemption track comes. Unfortunately this makes it difficult to root for the male lead as the female lead always takes the sympathy of the audience. This is how ITV works for 95pc of the shows.
You should make a post if you have points to discuss, I'd love to contribute as well as the AT can be restricted due to rules.
Ofcourse I'm not condoning any sort of physical or verbal abuse, be it the one done by Agastya or done by Imlie. While there will always be an outrage when the female leads are pushed or held tightly (and rightly so), why no outrage when a man is slapped? It's taken so casually and normalized. All of us the other day when Agastya got slapped said he deserved it. Not a single person said why did Imlie take the extreme steps of slapping him to get the point across?
Could the makers have avoided that scene? Why is it ok (for whatever reason) that a male character is slapped and doesn't get the same amount of outrage or any outrage.
Imlie the other day broke his car (kyu bhai, just coz he broke down the door of a house he owned because you were not opening it?) Had this been some unknown person, she would be behind bars for vandalism and destruction of property.
ETA: This slap point was raised yesterday in BB by a male contestant that a slap is more humiliating for a man than any other form of physical hurt which got me thinking about this. And ofcourse took me back to all the times Sai's characters in his earlier shows were slapped. Of course, I'm not a man toh I could never previously think this way before but he does have a point and now I know better.
