Sadly today bollywood doesn't focus on these type of romantic stuffs and symbolism. They are more invested in gore , violence and skin show

It's only ITV which is still showing romance with aesthetics and eye pleasing scenes which tuck at your heart if we ignore the flaws of storyline

I guess I was referring to those times when BW did focus on decent storylines that had depth and were actually worth watching for 2-3 hour. Gore, violence etc all have a place if integral to the story but if just for the sake of it then no it’s not for me either.

I rarely watch BW movies these days, in fact the last time I watched was a year ago. Back then I had watched because I had heard the songs first but the films turned out to be very disappointing.

Not complaining about this song but it has been used so much in reels, celeb wedding videos, real weddings that it lost its charm for me

Nevertheless I am ignoring it as it was used on side character wedding. The essence of Imlie and her babu relationship is the retro songs which we get served time to time

I think after Anushka walked to this song for her wedding with Virat, this has by far been the wedding song for everyone. Yeah we could have had a good retro song for Imlie but it's okay - I guess the team went with what is the most popular song and by far hands down this song beats everyone by a mile.

If I have counted correctly they have featured 59 songs to date, this number includes repeats. So if two of them are from the 2000s - Shiddat was featured on 29 October and this one today - surely they can be forgiven especially as they haven’t made any formal claims that they will only feature retro songs for any of the characters.

Now that they have used that song I can’t think of any other that would suit the Shivani’s entry. I kind of get the impression the song is not chosen because of its popularity but what works for the scene/event whether it is in terms of lyrics or the vibe and here the feel of the song just matched perfectly I thought.

Also I just thought it was a non filmy Jasleen Royal song and had no idea Anushka used it but had most definitely heard it☺️.
