Finally, I've had some time to get myself back to this lovely piece.
You weave magic with words, truly, this is such wholesome content!
The Chaap Tilak moment is all heart, Mr and Mrs Rathore are such a sight when they open their hearts and smile freely. I'll never get tired of that dance reel.
It's such a stark contrast between the 2 men - while for Aryan, everything revolves around Imlie, for AKT, it's always about himself. Unlike others, Aryan knows Imlie in and out and damn right he was to point out that had it really mattered, she could have said no to the marriage and single-handedly manage to free AKT one way or other.
And again a stark contrast between the Rathore family and the Tripathi family - while the latter knowing Imlie for a short while, have more faith and trust in Imlie than the former who've known her for many months and can doubt her without a single hesitation.
Loved the way you were able to portray the conflicting emotions of Imlie. Between right and wrong, between known and unknown, between AKT and Aryan, poor woman had it tough to understand what her heart really wanted.
Her life's always been a complicated mess of relationships and it's quite heart-breaking when she's asking Sundar why can't she have one normal relationship. Sometimes when one wonders why cannot it be all simple.
Everyone needs a friend like Sundar, to nudge and knock us in the right direction of our heart and help us understand ourselves a bit better in times of uncertainty. I love him for telling her that there should be no guilt in moving on, to liking it and to look forward.
The sheer beauty of the story is when Imlie relieves it all, the pain she had to endure, the hurt that she was carrying, the dignity she found when she was considered an equal, the happiness that there was finally someone who trusted her ability.
The awe at the silence that fell in the room at his presence as he reverently picked up the chit and pocketed it. Reverently - that term is so poignant here. There is no other better term that can describe the way Aryan did it. It's like that small chit with her name had all of the importance of the world in it at that moment. I'll add in my gushing to say how brilliantly Fahmaan had emoted this.❤️
And the hug, the breakdown and the trust and hope they finally managed to trudge along to decide to move forward, it's so heart-warming. That extra mile effort Aryan puts in making Imlie happy by reaching out to her parents, there can never be another person who will lookout for her happiness and well-being as he does.
My heart goes all fuzzy when they call each other Mr and Mrs Rathore, there's something so endearing about it. It's truly their blessing that they found each other and as they say, na aisa saathi, na aisa pyar, na kabhi pehle dekha tha na kabhi aage dekhenge.
Having said that and reading this already multiple times, I will say again that you are one of the best, brilliant writers I've come across.
The emotions that you bring forth with your telling, amazing!!
Please do write more and as always, thanks a lot for the tag 🤗
