It is time for Imlie to stop crying

She cries constantly, in every episode.

All her crying is always connected to the upcoming marriage of Aditiya and Malini.

First off, she was accidentally married to a man she had just met, doesn't know anything about him much, except for the fact that he was engaged when he arrived at her village. He is way older than her and is from a completely different world.

So why does Imlie cry when she hears about the impending marriage of Aditiya? The village wedding was just that, a traditional ceremony, not an actual marriage where they applied for a marriage license and registered their union. And an annulment is easy to get under these circumstances. Actually, an annulment is not even necessary. How much weight does a traditional wedding ceremony carry?

Imli had made it plain she was not interested in marriage, only in finishing her schooling, becoming an officer, and moving to the city with her mom.

I want to see an ambitious Imlie, who stops crying, pulls herself together, and gets on with life!

All the crying is getting a little repetitive and tedious.

Imlie goes from 0 to 100 in 1 second.. either its OTT funny or cry cry.. they need to normalise her a but like the way she was shown in the start of the show.. she was someone who wasnt much interested in marriage and her dreams were to study.. they need to show her a bit more head strong than cry in front of adi all the time.. also I feel adi is shown too nasty with her for no reason.. yes there was a marriage but then he could still rather help her with her study dreams and career than ridicule her all the time.. I feel gul always has her first 2 weeks of serial planned and then it just goes on headlessly.. the first 2 weeks was a good high and then just drag drag..

What is the exact age gap between Aditya and Imlie? Haha, I don't really watch the show but saw one of the promos and thought he looks way too old for her and was curious.

She's strong but yet a late teen. She is only 18. Let her cry, after satyakam takes her away she'll be cheerful again.

The fact that she didn't want to marry like the other village girls is the only reason she's still keeping it together and most of the times being her usual cheerful goofy self. If any thing some times I find it a bit unrealistic how quickly she's coping and adjusting with her entire world getting topsy turvy. A girl not even 18 is not supposed to be so mature.

She's been brought to think of marriage as sacred and unbreakable. Yes ,the traditional marriage only. Not the paper one. Registration and all that is inconsequential and meaningless in Pagdandiya. Yaha kachhi sadak nehi pahuch payi to aap ka kanun kaise ayega

So it's basically her upbringing aka sanskar aka brain washing and it takes time to wash off .

Some times it never does. Not that people from the city are free from such brainwashing. They've their own version.

She's of course hurt that he took no steps to even acknowledge their marriage, even if as a problem. He literally brushed it under the carpet like it has never happened. She's not in love with him or even particularly respect him the way she does his elder family members .

I feel connected with her when she cries , it makes her real , relatable and I'd take that over an unrealistic strong version at this point in the story. Strong hone ke liye pura time bacha hai. Also Aditya verbally abuses her most of the times really badly , koi bhi ro padega. I burst into tears sometimes by just listening as a viewer just think how she might feel. I'd be crying all the time too if I were her.

The only thing , however , I do not want is for her to show her tears in front of Aditya so that he thinks his words his anger matters to her and he's power over her. She shouldn't give him that edge . I'd like her to excuse herself and cry her hearts out in private. Sometimes Aditya comes to her to see her crying , he's such a sadist at times.👎🏼

About her education, the only way she can even hope of continuing with her studies is by staying at Tripathi house and for that she's desperately holding onto the job.

If she leaves the house she'll remain uneducated for life and all her big dreams will always remain incomplete.

Just curious, how exactly do you propose her to " get on" with her life ?? What more exactly do you think she can do under possible circumstances that she is already not doing ?? Is she not continuing her studies from home which is practically the only thing that I can think she can do to improve her life ?? 😳

Please take it as a genuine question and not as a challenge. I also need to know what more or what differently she could possibly be doing given her non-options ?? Let's make a team of advisors for her and supply her with practically applicable advices . Let's see what we can come up with.

Must be around 7 years. I am guessing Aditya and Malini must have started dating when they must have started college and they have been dating for 7 years. So Aditya and Malini must be around 25. Imlie is 18 right now

Hey, I like what you write! I mainly agree with on almost all points!👏

I just want the CVs to stop giving Imlie so many tears! A little less crying and a little more, "ok, this is not a great situation," but in the typically Imili fashion, "I will make the most of it". I prefer her living in Aditiya's house and learning from the professor.

But her crying over the impending wedding of Aditiya and Malini is what irks me! She has no skin in the game. She needs to stop crying over that. Her marriage to Aditiya was a mistake for everyone, especially her! Of course, it hurts a little to think the man never acknowledged their wedding to anyone, but that is a huge clue for Imlie to forget it ever happened.

Today she said to jerkaditya that whatever happened at village has no meaning. It was not a relationship it was a thread. A thread can be broken but not a relationship (referring to his and Malini's). She herself acknowledged their marriage has no meaning. The reason she cries maybe she likes him, even loves him but doesn't know that herself.

Agree even I want to see ambitious Imlie.. she should get over Adi... But being brought up in village she does have that mindset that she is married to this person... If we compare to that she has managed pretty well.. I think she will best recover if she goes far from Adi and that I think is most needed in the serial
