Part 1 : Gain the enemy's trust
Part 2: The escape
Her anxious eyes, her chest heaving up and down, as her breath quickened; she moved against the wall. Her lips were trembling, but her eyes said it all; she wanted him to kiss her. She pulled away, but as he touched her cheek, she shivered at his touch; the touch had given her pleasure. He took her face in his hands; she closed her eyes, lips still trembling, waiting for his lips to devour her. Arnav opened his eyes and looked around. He had been dreaming, about Khushi! No, Arnav, stop thinking about her. She is just a golddigger; she never cared about you! His hand doubled into a fist and his face became furious. Then he remembered the pompom in his pocket. He took it out and looked at it. "Don't go", she had begged him to stay. Why? Because she wanted to see you suffer when she stole your money, Arnav, he clenched his teeth. "I can't believe it's you. Finally I found you!", she had said when she had found him last time, tears pouring down her cheeks. Wow, what a good actress she is! But how could it be? How could she fake all those emotions? "Are you alright, Khushi?" he had asked, she had shaken her head and run to him, crashing into his chest. How could she have faked that happiness? No, Arnav, no. She wasn't faking it. You know she wasn't faking it. Accept it, dammit, accept that she actually cares about you! But then, what did Shyam mean? "We will find him and you can finally get your revenge on him. We will take his money and leave him with nothing. Right, Khushiji?" He closed his eyes, his face trembling as he tried to control his anger. He opened his eyes. "Arnavji", she had sensed his presence in the room earlier that day; her eyes had filled up with tears. Did she fake that too? No, that can't be right. Stop it, Arnav, follow your heart. My heart? he scoffed. Suddenly he heard a sound at the door.
Khushi tiptoed inside the warehouse and hid behind a wooden plank. She peeped outside. She saw a man carrying a plastic bag walking into the warehouse. A man dressed in black, with a gun on his waist, stepped outside to greet him. "Food delivery", the first man said giving him the plastic bag. The man with the gun looked confused. "We didn't order any food". The other man gave him the plastic bag, "I don't know. I was just asked to deliver this food to this address." Another man dressed in black joined them. The kidnapper with the tattoo, Khushi's eyes widened with shock. "Boss must have ordered it for us", he said taking the plastic bag from the delivery guy. Khushi leaned back against the plank and heaved a sigh of relief. Phew, that worked! She heard four other men walk into the room. She peeked outside again, then slowly started inching towards the door to the room she knew Arnav was in. She looked towards the kidnappers; they were busy eating to even look to her side. As she reached the door, she tried to turn the knob. It was locked. Khushi was angry; she took her hair pin out of her hair and tried to pick the lock. She could hardly see anything; but she tried her best to get the door open. Finally the door gave away, and the knob turned. She slowly opened the door and peeked inside; darkness. She gulped, opened the door a little more, squeezed herself into the room and shut the door behind her. "Arnavji?" she whispered. "Arnavji, are you here?" She could feel her heart beating fast. There was a small window through which light was streaming in, but she couldn't see him anywhere. Khushi's shoulders slumped; she had hoped he would still be in that room, but she was wrong.
Suddenly there was a breeze; she looked up and she saw Arnav step into the light, tears filled in his eyes. Her heart soared, a smile appeared on her face; tears streamed down her cheeks as she ran into his arms and put his arms around him. He smiled and put his arms around her; when he saw her, he forgot all the conflict in his mind. He just wanted to hold her, her slim body that fit right into his arms, to feel the warmth of her body, her heart beating against his chest; it felt right when he hugged her and he didn't want this moment to end. Suddenly there was a sound of a chair moving. They pulled apart and he took her hand. He looked up and showed her the window. He moved a box below the window and tried to open the window. It was stuck. He pushed hard; it didn't budge. Khushi was looking at the door, scared. Arnav took one look at her and remembered how the kidnapper had tried to attack her; he had to save her. He pushed again as hard as he could and this time the window gave away. He lifted her in his arms and helped her slowly get out through the window. He followed her.
They ran through the alley behind the warehouse and then turned into another alley and kept running. It was really late in the night; so the alleys were empty, but they could see the lights of the temple in the distance. They ran towards the temple. As they reached the temple, they sat down on the steps, breathing heavily. Arnav stood up; he wanted to make sure that no one was following them before they ran any further. He moved to the side of the temple, peeked out into the alley and then he froze; he felt her gaze on him. He turned around and saw Khushi looking at him, tears streaming down her face. "Thank god you are alright, Arnavji". She whispered. He took her in his arms and held her tightly, enjoying the embrace, his eyes closed. "I came here earlier today, I knew you were here. I had to come back to find you." Arnav opened his eyes, his face furious. "We will find him and you can finally get your revenge on him. We will take his money and leave him with nothing. Right, Khushiji?" Shyam's voice echoed in his mind. He pushed her away and she looked at him surprised. "Arnavji?" she started. "Khushi? Aren't you forgetting something?" She looked at him confused. "Don't you want to take my signature to get all my wealth? Are you waiting for that after we get home? Or do you already have the papers with you?" She looked at him shocked. "What are you saying?" she started saying, her eyes wide. He grabbed her arms. "You were always a golddigger. I knew it from the moment I met you. I was right, wasn't I?" He scoffed; then he saw her tears. "Oh, there you go. Tears, of course. I'm not falling for that again" and he pushed her away. She turned to face the smiling goddess and tears rolled down her cheek, thinking, "Thank you, Devi Maiyya, you helped me find Arnavji. But you have failed me again, Devi Maiyya. Please I can't take this anymore. I can't believe he still doesn't trust me." She closed her eyes and bit her lips, so that Arnav wouldn't hear her sobs. Arnav saw her turn away and scoffed. "So, you can't even face me now. Great! But let me tell you one thing, I am not going to let you succeed. I will rather suffer at the hands of the kidnappers than let you win. I am going back." Her eyes opened and she turned around, screaming, tears streaming down her cheeks. "No, Arnavji, I can't let you go back. You have no idea how crazy I was trying to find you. I can't lose you again. Please don't go. Let's go home" and she grabbed his hand. He pushed her hand away and raised his eyebrows. "Oh, you can't lose me again. You mean you can't lose my wealth again?" He started moving back to the alley. She moved towards him. "Fine, if you are going back to the kidnappers. I am coming with you." Arnav raised his eyebrows. "Don't you dare even come close to me. I don't want to see your face, or hear your voice again. You are dead to me, Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. I hate you!" He turned around and ran back to the alley, his eyes tearing up. He turned around and saw her collapse onto the ground.
As he ran behind a building, he looked back once again. He couldn't see her. He stopped; why do I want to go back to her? Why does it hurt to leave her alone? You love her! and yet she doesn't love you, Arnav! A tear escaped his eye. But that's not true. She couldn't possibly fake all those emotions. "I can't lose you again. Please don't go". She had begged him to stay with her. He wanted to, but then why did I run away from her? Why, Arnav? Why did you leave her alone there? What if the kidnappers get to her? So, I don't care; I don't care if something happens to her. She is just a golddigger. No, she isn't and you know that Arnav. He was angry at himself; he didn't know what to believe. He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. "I wish you had told me at least once, I would have moved out of your way without asking any questions. Why did you hide this from me? When you both love each other, then who am I to come in between you two. You love her and I.." He remembered her words, as she stood at the top of the terrace, ready to jump. He opened his eyes. The pain in her eyes.. "you loved her and I.." ; she was going to kill herself so that I could be happy with Lavanya. How could you forget that Arnav? He stood up and ran back, her words echoing in his mind. "You saw what you wanted to see. You heard what you wanted to hear. That doesn't imply that what you understood is close to the truth." I was wrong! I should have given her at least an opportunity to explain herself, before jumping to conclusions. I am coming, Khushi. I am coming!
Arnav found her standing behind a pillar in the temple. He walked close to her. "Khushi", he softly called her name. She turned around, tears streaming down her face. "Khushi, I am sorry! I should not have accused you like that. I should have given you an opportunity to explain yourself. But I am back now; tell me. I want to believe you. I will believe you. But tell me the truth. I know you cannot lie, not in front of your Devi Maiyya. What did Shyam mean when he said that you were going to steal my wealth and take revenge on me?" She remained quiet, more tears streaming down her face. He took a step closer, her eyes widened. "Answer me, dammit!" He screamed, furious. She shook her head and kept looking behind her shoulder. "Answer me, Khu.." Arnav started, and then froze as he saw Khushi moving towards him, the kidnapper with the tattoo right behind her, a gun pressed against her temple.
Precap: "Khushi, I always always... loved you", Arnav said, tears in his eyes, lifting her blood-stained body from his lap into his arms, pressing his lips against her forehead.
