Recap:
There was a shrieking silence. Maanvi did not know what Virat was going to say next. Did he still love her? Or would he decide to move on. Maanvi's tears stopped streaming for her eyes in that particular moment. She shut her eyes tight. For the first time in her life Maanvi was scared of Virat. Scared of what he was going to say. Scared that he was going to leave her. Scared that her life would fall apart from this minute onwards.
What was Virat about to say?

Chapter 18
Viren took Jeevika by the hand and took her to their room to leave Virat and Maanvi in privacy.
The next thing that Maanvi knew was Virat was gone from the room as well. Everyone had left her alone. She did not know where he had gone, all she knew was that no one was there with her. No one. She could tell that nobody wanted to stand next to a hairless girl with a future the size of a pea.
Minutes passed and Maanvi curled herself up into a ball on the floor. She felt isolate like never before but she didn't understand why she was so surprised that Virat had left her? She had known it the whole way through. Despite the strength of their love, no one would ever want to spend their lifetime with a girl who had no future, who had no beauty and whose life had been overtaken by a disease which was killing her every second.
Before she knew it, Maanvi was asleep. Curled up on the floor her eyes shut and before she drifted off she wished that her eyes would never open again.
She hated her life, hated her future, hated herself.
When she woke up she felt a pair of comforting arms around her. She was no longer on the floor; she was on a bed with a quilt cover over her in someone's arms. She did not have the strength nor courage to open her eyes and see who it was so she simply pushed her head harder in that person's chest. She felt so warm, so comfortable but more than anything else she felt happy; so, so happy. This person's arms were like haven to her, a place where there was no evil, no unhappiness and no sorrows. Life was beautiful in every single way.
Living in the heaven in his arms, Maanvi soon realized who her body was resting on.
Virat.
She slowly opened her eyes in which there were no more tears left to escape down her cheeks. He knew she was awake but didn't move. After a few moments of silence a soothing voice filled the room like honey smoothly pouring out.
Virat: Maanvi.
There was a mixture of love, affection and an unusual kind of happiness is his voice. Maanvi had simply been staring aimlessly at the floor for what was fifteen minutes now acting as if no one else was in the room but after hearing his voice she could do nothing but look up at his beautiful face. Everything was the same.
Those disconcertingly penetrating eyes stared right back at her.
The cherry red lips smiled at her and kissed her forehead.
Those ears always welcome her voice.
Maanvi smiled and embraced him, she couldn't help but want to be with him, want to be close to him. She took her hand up to his head to stroke his silky hair but all she felt were spikes. She had missed seeing one thing whilst looking at his face.
His hair.
It wasn't there. It had gone. There were just the spikey remains of the shavings left.
Maanvi looked up at him awestruck. Tears began to fill her eyes again as she realized what Virat had sacrificed for her betterment.
His hair had gone.
He had done it all for her. He had left the room so he could shave his hair off to make sure she would not feel lonely in this journey of cancer. Maanvi withdrew herself from his arms and looked up at him. Everything was the same.
Those disconcertingly penetrating eyes.
The cherry red lips.
Those welcoming ears.
Just one thing wasn't there
His hair; which was always there for her to stroke whilst hugging him had gone.
Virat caught a tear escaping down Maanvi's eyes and clenched it into his fist as he were crushing it telling it never to come back again.
Maanvi: Kyu? Virat kyu?
Virat: Kyuki mein tumssey bohoth pyaar karthaa hoon Maanvi.
Maanvi: Virat-
Virat: Shhh'bass. Kuch math kaho.
Maanvi continued to stare into his piercing eyes.
Virat: I love you Maanvi.
Maanvi: Virat please'mein ab vo nahi jissey tum pyaar karthey thhe.
Virat: Ek baar kehedo Maanvi. Ek baar kehedo ki tum bhi mujshey pyaar karthi ho. Ek baar boldo.
Maanvi tightly squeezed her eyes shut and pushed her head into Virat's chest as she mumbled the three magic words as if her and Virat were defining them once again.
Maanvi: I love you Virat.
Quote: Life maybe limited, not love.
