What a bowling show this is by England. They desperately need to get their NRR sorted and this is a commanding bowling show. The pace of Jofra Archer and Wood and the legspin of Adil Rashid too hot to handle for the Oman players. It is Oman's lowest total in T20Is. They were just blown away as Archer and Wood hit the deck hard. Rashid spun the ball a mile and used his googlies to devastating effect. None of the Oman batters showed a willingness to fight and what followed was a procession. How quickly can England chase this down? Their NRR should improve massively after this game. Back for the chase in 5 minutes...

Mark Wood: We had to show improvement after the last two games and we are very happy. Extra bounce, tennis-ball like and spongy as well. I think it was a mixture of pushing the batters back and also having the awareness to draw them forward. It’s quite skiddy and shiny. (On Adil Rashid) Everytime he bowls, he is a magician and it’s great to have him in the side.

Oh man. Well, we've all had a shocker at some point. That Oman innings last just 80 deliveries - now, if England can get this done in 32 (that is 5.2 overs), they'll pump their net run rate above that of Scotland, with another winnable game against Namibia to come on Saturday

England will be eyeing to finish this game off as soon as they can. A great opportunity for them to spike their NRR up as it can definitely come into the equation for making it to the Super 8. The on-air commentators mention that even if England chase this target down within 3 overs, their NRR will only get to +0.3 - that will still be far away from Scotland's healthy NRR of +2.164.
