09:50 Local Time, 13:50 GMT, 19:20 IST: Some positive(?) update from Ian Bishop - "The torrential downpour has abated quite a bit. It's still drizzling." The groundsmen haven't started the mopping up work. So, we're still a long way away from getting any action.

Neutral Fan: "What a missed opportunity: Pain, pain go away, Khalid wants some cricket *play*" --- That's a brilliant catch indeed (with all puns intended)!

Mahesh: "Points based on First Innings lead can be one solution .. I know we love comebacks, but mostly team with substantial lead in first inning goes on to win the matches.."

9.50am Although the rain seems to have lightened, it is still trickling down merrily at the Queen's Park Oval. So the action remains a good while away. Just wait and watch, and repeat.

Spikky Roh: "@Bhavya - A reserve day comes with a lot of additional cost so not every match can be given a reserve day."

Ahamad Ahamad: "Reserve day - will cost lot of money, even though it is not used. Points based on 1st innings - will lead captains to drag 1st innings score to safer side, which may have effect on result of the game. Boards have to look for neutral venue in rainy season."
