And here are the answers, with themes for this round! You did not need to get the exact theme to get the bonus points, but you had to be close. For example, if you wrote colours instead of primary colours I counted that. But if you just wrote type of weathers instead of wet weather, that wouldn't count.

  1. Primary colours: red, blue, yellow
Musical forms: jazz, hip hop, classical
    Microsoft software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  2. Keyboard keys: option, shift, return
    Footwear: boot, loafer, pump
Web browser menus: file, history, window
  3. Wet weather: hail, snow, sleet
Synonyms for sad: blue, down, low
Features on a pair of jeans: button, fly, pocket
  4. Palindromes: kayak, level, mom
    Letter homophones: are, queue, sea
Homophones of units of measure: carrot, hurts, jewel
  5. Tarot cards that start with “the”: fool, magician, lovers
    Magazines: Time, People, Essence
Associated with #2: deputy, pencil, silver medal

Yay! All correct.smiley40 So glad.smiley9

Though I play spelling bee sometimes I am not that good in it so if I send you only 1 or 2 words (that too if I can frame them within 5 minutes) will I be eliminated?

It really depends on how other people do. For example, for Round 2 I had originally set a minimum required score of 15 points with or without bonus points. But there were many people who were at or below that so I adjusted my elimination requirement. Right now for spelling bee I have a minimum score set, but if the majority of people are either below that or close to that or really high up, I'll adjust accordingly.

On #1, #2, #3 - yes those count.

On #4 - all thanks to my memory and NY Times.

On $5 - maybe it's a North America thing but here the pencils usually have a #2 on them. It's literally called Pencil #2. I'm talking about the typical yellow ones that you use in school.

No she had a good Google. A few people told me that #4 and #5 were on Reddit and a site that had shared every Connections game to date. smiley37 I was surprised more people didn't find it and get a perfect 50 this round.
