Yeah, I saw in the news and was worried about you. I did think of sending you a message asking about it but then I realised that these services might be cut off (after all, a similar incident happened here too a few years ago). So, I was waiting for you to send a message.

The situation is better than earlier. But I guess it's easy for me to say because thankfully everyone in my family is safe. My heart goes out to the poor students and their parents. All of us know how it'll be covered up so all we can do is pray for the deceased...

Yeah, that's what happens most of the times... Any major issue and it just ends up getting covered up. Even here, it's the same!! No protests and such going on... But remember I told you about the paper leak incident?? Even the entire enquiry process didn't yield great results. The results of the students suspected of cheating are cancelled, the middle men are arrested but the ones who were the chief force behind the entire scandal haven't been found yet and the case is almost about to be closed!!

Anyways, yes the only thing we can do is to pray for the deceased...

Btw, I just came across an interesting web novel with amazing leads... Can I write a couple of essays about them?? The story in itself isn't that much interesting but the leads and their friends surely are.

The results of the students suspected of cheating are cancelled, the middle men are arrested but the ones who were the chief force behind the entire scandal haven't been found yet and the case is almost about to be closed!!

We all know who's the culprit but they get away with everything...

My lil' rant post here... Am not spreading hatred or anything but I'm kinda annoyed by my cousin at the moment, especially with her childish behaviour. I honestly love her very much because she has been my best friend growing up but her behaviour gets on my nerves occasionally.

So, this cousin of mine is around 5 years older than me but behaves like an absolute kid. She is responsible and is somewhat mature at times but more than half the time, she behaves in an absolutely immature manner which kinda gets on my nerves? For example, she is turning 30 this year and yet, she can't sleep in her room alone. Okay, I get it but imagine like this: four years ago in Dec 2020, one of my cousins was getting married. Now, in our culture we have a ritual that on the night of marriage, the groom's mother with light a diya in the temple and take care of it making sure that it doesn't get extinguished. Since it were COVID times, we cousins weren't allowed to stay overnight for all the rasams. We came home and all of us cousins were in a single room and my mom and her two sisters were in another room. We fell asleep and at night around 3am, my cousin wakes up to go find her mom and sleep on her back because apparently, she can't sleep alone. She was literally sleeping on her back putting half of her weight on her.

The same year, in Jan her elder brother got married and she sulked for one month straight because he had significantly lessened the time he spent with her because of course he would have to split time between his wife, sister and his job. He as well as my sis in law took great efforts to cheer her up and frankly, it was straight up annoying.

And her temper tantrums... My God!! She throws the worst kind of temper tantrums and you won't believe, her family legit gives in to her every damn time. If her mom has to go out somewhere for a few hours, she'll either call her every hour or so asking her when she'll be back or she straight up calls one of us cousins to talk because she is feeling down and wants to chat.

Now, in 2021, she and her parents tested positive for COVID and were quarantined at home. They all were supposed to stay in separate rooms but she threw another tantrum because she couldn't stay alone and needed to sleep with her mom no matter how sick they were. Like seriously? You're supposed to be quarantined to prevent infection from becoming severe. And she says that she can't stay separately?

There is more but then it'll become a huge Mahabharat. I just need to get this off my chest because honestly, I can't say this to anyone or I simply get lectured about respecting my elder sister and such stuff. I love and respect her, I really do but I just can't keep all this stuff bottled up. I need to rant somewhere...

I get your frustration because honestly my head started spinning reading that. Let me confess something, I am almost the same age as your cousin and at times I can be real immature. But aap ke cousin ke kaarname sunke even I'm like yeh kya pagalpan hain?

This is not even immaturity. It's straight up being a nalayek because you want everything to go as per your whim. Personally I prefer avoiding such people. But considering she's your sister and you love her a lot, I guess that's not a real option for you.

However, at times one has to take some steps so I'd say confront her if she annoys you because it's real life and at certain time people needs to understand where they have to draw the line and how should they behave.

Honestly, I don't even know what she thinks more than half the time. You won't believe what she did about her own health. So, she has slip disk and the doctor suggested an MRI because he suspected that a nerve was also affected and it would be dangerous in the future. Let me point it out here that her situation became aggravated because of her own actions. Her monthly medicine costed around 5K and she threw away more than half of the medicine in the drain or flushed it down the toilet. And when asked to do an MRI, she threw a tantrum refusing because apparently, she is scared of MRI and doesn't want to get it done and her family bowed down to her temper tantrums and never brought up the issue again. 🤷

I have confronted her multiple times, especially about her throwing away her medicine and not getting proper treatment but no matter how much I speak, she just takes my words like a joke. She never listens nor takes me seriously at all. No matter how serious I am, she just laughs everything off like it's some kind of a joke. I just don't know what to do anymore... There are times when I feel like just blowing a fuse and letting out all my frustrations but then, the gyaan I'll receive in the end is simply not worth it.
