I think the best thing that happened to her after Idol, for many reasons, is Piya Ji, and she should remain ever grateful to HR for it!

Though personal life is hers , but it is more of her falling in the channel created trap and started to thinking it is real and continue with the euphoria which is also effecting her professional decision. In the past there were lots of such onscreen pairing like Aditya-neha. But they just separate it from real . But Arunita is too innocent and continuously used by channel, octopus, youtuber thinking it is a perfect dream.

not to argue with PD fans but there are lots of things PD do which are covered up and it does not go with his character what he portrays infront of all.

If it is only Arunita’s personal life ,it would not matter but when it started to link with her professional decision seeing the euphoria around the jodi , it bothers.

Palak's song picked up only a few hours ago. In the morning it was struggling at 1.9M. It will be 2.2M at 24hrs.

It is good test for Arunita.

Palak is HR's singer of 1st choice for some producers.

She is the one to unseat by Arunita and Piya Ji can be the turning point.

A few years down the line she will figure out what is going on and take mature decisions about her life. Because tubelight she may be, but when the light sparks to life she has the determination and judgement to do what she thinks is right for her!

It is crystal clear to me at least.

In the meantime she will get exploited but will swim with her songs because she has already done that hard work.

But I don't see the situation improving till she is at least 20-21.

And she has to blame herself in the end. Nobody asked her to make the choices she made. And she did not make them to succeed in life.

So let us not blame others for it.

Some of her friends are possessive, but she indulges them. That is her choice. She is on firm enough ground to object if she wished.

@bold ------- Yes, that's what happens a lot to 18 year olds, we are mature,(we feel), and we can think better. She was thrown to all this glamour at a very, very young age. Agree with you - that she has already done the hard work (classical training) and Piya Ji doing well is a good thing, if another solo is a hit - then it will be good, it might change her thinking a bit. Hope she understands life better in 2/3 years.

PS - one Bollywood song that does well - should do it for her, I think.

Everything else is a distraction that she does not significantly benefit from other than establishing her as a romantic duet singer.
If romance is to dictate her career moves, that is fine from her personal angle. Once she states that she is romantically involved all these debates will stop. We, as fans, will make our choice on how we deal with that.

At this time it is just the cheap press and people who fuel this romantic angle for their own benefit who are making statements about teh relationship.

I think we are adding fuel to fire by giving such statements/interviews importance.

That is the whole point.

My personal view is that she will be exploited in the Octopus video series because of circumstances. I cannot see her getting out of it. We will have to live with it I guess because she could not have refused the initial offer when it came her way. But ultimately Octopus will suffer and that can be the end to this story.

This last para above is wholly my own view and may not be supported by available evidence. I accept that. It is just a view.

Looking at the current state of industry how much work do u think she will get as n independent artist? Even established singers r waiting for work..not many movies r announced or on floor. It's just now that postponed film shoots have resumed or else even actors were sitting at home. And obviously music of that films would already be set. So till new movies r announced its a waiting game. KJo and Bappi Lahiri have already offered her work..and for that they first need to find work for her.

To add to that, new movie genres have started skipping songs totally.

She can wait but high chances of 'out of sight, out of mind' coming true.

And if u mean independent music career as in concerts, they usually have at least two artists..so some or the other singer would always be with her.

Like Ashish said, we will go with the flow and continue doing whatever work we get at the best of our ability and give our 100%

Having discussed all that we have - and from watching for years, I feel, to succeed in Indian music industry - (especially these days) its 20% talent, 30% hard work and 50% luck. Talent, part is god gifted and part you develop, hard work is totally yours but it is tat Kashyap 50% - you have almost no control on. ARU talent total, she is also gard working, and so we just have to wait and watch, how that 'luck' part will work with Aru.🤞🤞.🙏🙏.

She is 18 year old and can wait for work.

She can even come back and compete in Idol in a few years if necessary.

But if she keeps getting Tere Baggair type songs to sing only to be busy then her future is very bleak.

And she might just get that despite her singing skills.
