Disappointing. Especially when Lapata Ladies is getting the accolades for an ‘original’ well made movie, only to find it might be inspired by another movie. Ananth Mahadevan should be getting credit for this if true

From what I heard the story is completely different in that movie. The brides do get swapped at the railway station but later on they fall in love with the other groom. So it's unfair to say that Laapataa Ladies is copied.It just belongs to a similar genre. Infact brides getting swapped due to ghoongat is such a common plot line even in ITV shows..
