One of Rajkummar Rao's best selling points was his average face. It made him look genuine when he played the average bechara down on his luck. Unlike say Karthik or Siddharth who looktoo urban and cleancut and more conventional Bollywood hero material in such roles.

I think his skin is just lighting. The only thing he’s really changed is his chin. Everything else I think is lighting, weight loss, long hair.
