Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone‘s Fighter gave a lot of hope when it flew high on the second weekend. While the film collected 12 crore on the 2nd Sunday, it collected 10.5 crore on the 2nd Saturday and 5.50 crore on the 2nd Friday. Overall, the 2nd weekend registered over 28 crore net collection in India.

However, according to the early estimates, the film has come crashing down after flying high for the last two days, instilling hopes of probably flying a little low but fighting for decent numbers at the ticket window.

Early estimates suggest that Fighter‘s Box Office collection has come crashing down on the second Monday, the 12th day of the release. The film has collected in the range of only 1.5 crore to 2 crore, which is a disappointing update for the fans and trade as well that expected that the film might touch the 200 crore mark before it reaches the finishing line.

Now, with only 1.5 crore to 2 crore coming on Monday, it will be a tough journey to reach the 200 crore mark. Currently, after 11 days, the film stands at 178 crore in total. If it earns 1 – 2 crore a day, with 22 crore more to reach the 200 crore mark, the film will need 11 days to complete this target, which currently seems like a giant number.

In the coming Friday, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya will hit the theaters, and Valentine’s week will take over, bringing the chances of Fighter collecting further at the box office to the lowest point.

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Sheikh & others. The war drama is based on the Pulwama terror attack and was released on the Republic Day weekend.

Milking the desh bhakti flavor, the film opened at 24.60 crore on day 1 and exploded on day 2 with 41.20 crore but settled down at 27.60 crore on day 3. Despite being high on buzz, the film failed to reach the 100 crore mark in three days.

I think this film is a clear proof that Indian education system is below par and most Indians just aren't smart enough to appreciate sophisticated action and profound filmmaking.
