Commercialization of lakshwadep was not allowed by government for protecting it's natural beauty. But since Maldives became pro china India allowed Taj hotel to make water villa like maldives to be made in lakshadweep.

This is a very tricky space.. sustainable development.

Also it's a big change for the natives of the land. Their home, their lifestyle and their familiar space .. everything changes with increase in tourism. Some adapt while some resist..most take time to adapt.

And with mountains n islands there is n added responsibility of maintaining ecological balance.. unplanned development leads to long term damage

Indians made up for a huge chunk of tourists visiting Maldives..and yet you abuse and make fun of Indians and their PM..bringing Israel Palestine issue in everything…learn to respect your customers Maldives..and stop crying hoarse after you went around damaging your tourism prospects YOURSELF..India has every right to promote its union territories and create jobs accordingly..Andaman Nicobar and Konkan Coast have beautiful beaches and I can’t wait to go to Lakshwadweep in future once infrastructure is built there..leftist janta can keep crying..but all we did was create more jobs and opportunities for Indians and Maldives got upset and used awful remarks for no potent reason..

Sorry lol. People needn't be displaced and needn't have to adapt for rich tourists. Itna ghoomna pasand hai toh local log jaise rehte hain waise reh lenge. The place might sink into the ocean and people here care about fancy places for tourists. Smh
